- Remember NO SCHOOL next week! Have a safe Spring Break!!
- Lake City Medical Center will be providing lunch for all faculty and staff members today. They will be set up in the mailroom in the front office from 10:00-12:30.
- 8th Grade students-- “Coffee with Counselors” meeting will be March 21st AND March 28th from 8-11 and 12-2 in the PDC room. This is a mandatory meeting to discuss your academic progress and requirements for high school. 8th graders please note that if you have not created an account and completed the two career interest assessments at mycareershines.org that you and your parent will not be able to complete your Education Plan on the Coffee with Counselors dates. Parents can call 647-4500 to set up an appointment or Drop In.
- Take Stock in Children Scholarship applications are now open. Please see Guidance for more information. Forms are due on Monday, March 20th on the day that we return from Spring Break!!
- Any 8th grade student interested in trying out for Dancing Dolls needs to attend a brief meeting after school on Monday, March 20 at 3:15 in the high school auditorium. There will be tryout packets available at this meeting, and auditions will be held Saturday, March 25. See Mrs. Rodriguez at SHS for more details.
- Your Bull Pup baseball team defeated Madison last night in both games of the doubleheader. The first game they won 5 to 3. Hunter Corbin did great on the mound pitching all five innings not giving up a run. Ryan LeNeave, Calvin Palmer and Matthew Gill all lead the bull pups on offense with two hits a piece. LeNeave had a triple and JJ Chaillou also had hit. In the second game the bullpups defeated Madison 7 to 0. Tyson Greene started of the game and pitched well. Peyton waters came in and also did well. Calvin Palmer led the offense going two for three with three RBIs. Matthew Gill also had two hits with Jeff and JJ Chaillou getting a hit the piece. The pups are now sitting in first place in the conference. Wish them luck throughout the rest of the season
- Beta Shout Outs for Friday:
- Mrs. Ovando is the best teacher ever. She makes me happy every time I see her and she always has a smile on her face. She makes us do our best no matter what and pushes us past our limits. She is a fantastic teacher!
- Mrs. Venero, thank you very much for teaching me every day. You're my favorite teacher and this class is the one I could stay in all day.
- Mrs. Horton always gets to know her students for who they are. She inspires me everyday to work hard. She makes me laugh and she makes me feel good because she always tells me the truth. I love her with all my heart.
- Mrs. Fountain, you make me laugh every day. You are funny and kind, and I laugh so hard it almost makes me cry. You are the best!
- Ms. Johnson, I love you and you're the best teacher ever and the best coach ever. And you're like a mother to me.
