CLASS FLOAT MEETINGS
Throughout this week there will be a series of class meetings where you can help decide what your float will look like and what will be on it.
The freshmen meeting will be held in the library during fifth period with Mr. Henry on 9/9/16.
The sophomore meeting will be held in room P-23, on 9/9/16.
The juniors will be in room P-14 with Mr.Broz on 9/9/16
The seniors will be in room P-8 with Mrs.Cox on 9/9/16.
The meetings will last from 2:40 pm until around 3:00 pm.

CREATE MENTORING PROGRAM
Anyone interested in Architecture, Construction or Engineering should make plans to attend an informational meeting on Monday, September 12th at 1:45 in Room IA-2.
The meeting will provide information about the CREATE Mentoring program offered at Oakmont. This program offers students the opportunity to work with industry professionals, solve a real world problem and present the solution to other industry professionals.

If you are interested in hearing any of these college presentations, please log into your Naviance Family Connection Accounts to sign up or stop by the College & Career Center for more information. These college presentations are typically scheduled Tuesdays – Fridays during Intervention in the College and Career Center. Presentations are open to all grade levels and drop-ins are welcome and encouraged to attend. Be sure to check your Naviance accounts for the most up-to-date list of presentations.

PSAT REGISTRATION GOING ON NOW
The PSAT is scheduled for Wednesday, October 19th. All sophomores are automatically registered but if you are a junior or freshman and are interested in taking the PSAT be sure to sign up in Student Services or online in our Web Store before September 16th. The cost is $25 and the last day to register is September 16th.
JUNIORS
COOL RIVER PIZZA FUNDRAISER
Go support your junior class and attend the fundraiser taking place at Cool River Pizza on Tuesday, September 13th. Oakmont will be getting 10% of any purchase you make as long as you say you are with the juniors. All of this money will be put towards supporting the junior float and junior prom. This offer is valid all day and is valid with dine in and pick up. Support Oakmont and bring your family and friends to Cool River Pizza!
