FLYING SCOT 5861 FOR SALE

Purchased new from Flying Scot Inc. in October 2008. Radical Racing Package installed at the factory when the boat was built. White hull and deck, with dark blue stripe at water line. Snug rig. Three complete sets of sails. Includes galvanized steel trailer and multiple covers. Prepared and ready to compete with the leaders at any regatta. Successful racing record –results attached. LONG TRAILER – Galvanized steel.

-2” diameter ball hitch.

-Spare Tire mounted on front of trailer.

-Tongue Jack with exceptionally wide nose wheel.

-Bearing Buddies installed.

-Mud Flaps installed.

-LED Lights installed on wooden light bar with pintel that fits in the top gudgeon on the transom of the boat.

-Padded hull tie down strap.

-Center board stabilizer.

PROTECTIVE COVERS –

-North Bottom Cover- used when trailering the boat. This cover was installed on the bottom of the boat every time the boat was trailered.

-North Top Cover- used when trailering the boat, or when the boat is sitting on the trailer fully rigged. This cover covers the entire top and sides and transom of the boat down to the water line. It wasusedevery time the boat was trailered, and at away regattas.

-North Full-Length Mast Cover. This cover was installed on the mast every time the boat was trailered.

-Sailors Tailor Top Cover. Full top cover, with skirt that covers the sides, bow and transom of the boat to below the waterline. This cover was used when the boat was dry sailed out of our home sailing club.

-North Rudder Bag. When off the boat the rudder was immediately placed in the rudder bag. The rudder was always transported and stored in the rudder bag.

-SAILS – Three complete sets. All sets are snug rig with standard cut.

-MADDMain and Jib delivered July 2010. Sails used only three times - at 2010 Nationals, at 2010 Capital Districts, and at 2011 Nationals. Main has large window. Jib has small Harken blocks attached for 2:1 sheeting.

-MADD Main, Jib and Spinnaker delivered spring 2009. Sails used for 2009 Mid-Winters, 2009 Nationals, 2009 Capital District Championship, 2009 Atlantic Coast Championships, and later regattas. Main has large window. Spinnaker is AirX white material. Jib has small Harken blocks attached for 2:1 sheeting.

-North Spinnaker delivered summer 2008. Used at Nationals, Mid-Winters, Atlantic Coast Championship and Capital District Championship regattas. BR-1 Radial cut of AirX white material.

-North Main and Jib. Oldest sails of the three sets. Used for practice days and club racing. Jib has small Harken blocks attached for 2:1 sheeting.

-Shore Spinnaker. Oldest spinnaker that is used for practice days and club racing.

-Mast Head Fly.

-Boom and Mainsheet are rigged for main sheet mechanical purchase of either 1:1, 2:1 or 3:1.

-Light Weight, Soft, Floating Mainsheet.

-Boom has Internal Outhaul, and Cascading Vang.

-Spinnaker Pole is tapered aluminum.

-Two Spinnaker Shelf / Bags. Forward ends of both port and starboard seats have a shelf / bag installed. Starboard shelf / bag has an attached pocket with Velcro closure for storage of miscellaneous items.

-One set ofLight Air and one set of Heavy AirSpinnaker Sheets. Both sets of sheets are soft, lightweight, floating.

-Low Friction – Easy Running Jib Sheets. Easily changed from 2:1 to 1:1 purchase.

-All Cam Cleats for control lines or sheets have Aluminum Cams. The plastic cams were removed.

-Platismo Contest Compass with cover is installed on aft side of mast tabernacle.

-Bow Bag with protective cover.

-Minimum Weight Anchor and Line, securely stowedon floor on centerline of boat forward in front of mast tabernacle or aft near transom.

-Light Weight Plastic Paddle securely stowed in clips on underside of port deck, forward of mast.

-Bucket, Bow Line, and Sail Ties. Securely stowed beneath starboard seat.

-One Stainless Steel Halyard Cranksecurely stowed on port side of mast tabernacle.

-One spareCast Aluminum Halyard Crank.

-Two Hiking Linesare removable. For use when sailing with total of three crew on windy days.
