When I was 10 recounts moments of growing up in Dundee and the loss of a father, all remembered throughout a train journey from London where each stoprevealsa new memory.

About Lila Clements:Lila has recently performed in the World Premiere of a musical adaptation of Thérèse Raquin (Finborough Theatre); this production is transferring to the Park Theatre in August 2014. Other credits include: Sonnet Walk (Shakespeare's Globe), The Kissing-Dance (Jermyn Street), Whisky Galore (PitlochryFestivalTheatre), Dick Whittington, Beauty & the Beast (Stafford Gatehouse) and Twelfth Night (Open-Air Tour). Lila has also beenactivelyinvolved in the development of Tamasha's verbatim play Golden Hearts. This is inspired by the encounters at St. George’sHospital in Tooting, where Lila regularly performs bedside music to long-term patients.

Joe and Goosespend their adolescence sitting on the Moor dreaming of a world beyond Salford, in a little play about growing up and looking for something to grow up for.

About Miriam Battye: Miriam Battye grew up in Salford, and began writing at 17as part of the Manchester Royal Exchange'sYoung Writers’ group.She was shortlisted for the Bruntwood Prize for Playwriting in 2011 with her first play, I STARTED A FIRE. She attended the Royal Court Young Writers’ programmein 2013 and is currently on attachment at Bristol Old Vic.

Joe played by Sagar Radia:Sagar Radia's previous theatre credits includeThe History Boys (Mercury Theatre), Border Lies (RADA/Royal Court Studio), Sweet Cider (Tamasha at Arcola Theatre) and New Home Sick (Hampstead Theatre). On TV and film he recently shot Babylon (Channel 4) and We Still Kill The Old Way (Richwater Films). Earlier this year he appeared in Silk (BBC) and Vigilante (Pelepo Films), and previously he'sbeen seen in Casualty (BBC), Waking The Dead (BBC) and the BAFTA Award Winning, Britz (Channel 4). Sagar has also worked in Radio, havingjust recorded Tommies for BBC Radio 4, and previouslythe IVCA Clarion Award winner, My Name Is…Iqbal Masih, playing the title role.

Goose played by Rory Girvan:Rory’s theatre credits include Herons (Library Theatre), Tits/Teeth (National Youth Theatre), A Girl in a Car With a Man (Contact Theatre), Somebody’s Son and One flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest (UMSU Theatre), Midsummer Night’s Dream (MGS Theatre), and Outright Terror Bold and Brilliant (Soho Theatre).

Television credits include Stella, HappyValley and Bluestone 42.Film credits include Transitions (short), My Lad and Ticket (short).

Can You Hear Me Running?is a funny and touching play about a woman who loses her voice and tries to run a marathon.

About Jo Harper:Jo Harper is a playwright and actor. She has worked in theatre and film and was a founder member of Non-Fiction Theatre Company. She co-created and performed in Non-Fictions’ plays including Sex 1:Death 2 (‘a ground-breaking piece of theatre’ – What’s On) at BAC, Soho theatre and Edinburgh Festival, and We Haven’t Said A Porky Pie Yet (‘thought provoking and well realised comedy’-Fest) BAC/Pleasance Edinburgh. She performed in the first production of Tamasha’s The Trouble With Asian Men. Jo has an MA in Playwriting from Royal Holloway, University of London. Her first fictional play The Beach House was performed at the Steyning Festival in June 2014.

About Katharina Rodda: Katharina Rodda studied Drama and Theatre Studies at the University of Kent. She has had work on at Park Theatre, developed work with Graeae Theatre Company as part of their Play Lab scheme and has recently completed the Royal Court Writers’ programme.

Joel played by Naveed Khan: Naveed trained at The Oxford School of Drama. His theatre credits includePioneer (Curious Directive and Watford Palace Theatre), The Waiting Game(Kazzum Arts), 59 Minutes to Save Christmas (Slung Low with The Barbican 2013and The Cast 2014), These Bones of Mine (Curious Directive), After The Rainfall (national tour - Curious Directive), The Truth Teller (The King'sHead), The Tagore Project (The West Yorkshire Playhouse), The Trial (Watford Palace Theatre), Lincoln Road (Eastern Angles) and Jerusalem (The Oxford Playhouse). Naveed will be appearing in two feature films being released 2014 asRavinder in Second Coming, and Survivor.

ABOUT THE DIRECTORS

Eleanor Rhode:

Eleanor Rhode trained at Mountview and the National Theatre Studio, and is a former Staff Director at the National Theatre.

She is the Artistic Director of Snapdragon Productions, for whom her recent directing work includes:Thark(Park Theatre), andA Life, The Drawer Boyand Generous(Finborough Theatre). She will direct Richard Bean's Toastfor Snapdragon this summer at Park Theatre. Eleanor works frequently with writers on new works in development. She was dramaturg on Snapdragon’s production ofThe Dead Wait(2013) and is currently working on new plays by Sarah Grochala, Rick Bland and Andrew Muir.

Other directing includes: The Gypsy Thread(National Theatre Studio), Can I Be Straight With You? (Bush Theatre),The Error of Their Ways(Cockpit Theatre), andA Number(Camden People’s Theatre).

Diyan Zora:

Diyan is a British Iraqi theatre director and recently assisted Director Philip Osment on Tamasha’s latest production, My Name Is….. Her production of Gather Ye Rosebuds won Best New Play at the Brighton fringe, before transferring to Theatre503 in summer 2013. She recently directed a series of short plays on women in revolution, including pieces by Martin Crimp and Hassan Abdulrazzak. She has a masters in women's rights in Islamic law, and is a published poet.
