Assignment 7 – Motion In The News
Instructions: Work alone or with a partner. Use the internet to locate
three articles that have to do with physics and/or motion.
-Use articles that have to do with velocity/speed, distance,
displacement, vectors/scalars, the metric system or any other
topic relating to the motion unit.
Examples: Racing cars, rockets, speedboats, airplanes, helicopters,
trains, animal speed records, human speed records, etc.
Print each article or give the article’s URL (web address) and then write
two paragraphs for each article:
· Paragraph 1 – a summary of the article (what is the article is about, what does it say).
· Paragraph 2 – a response to the article. Your opinion on the article.
Each paragraph should be about 5 sentences long.
Due Date: Your three articles and three responses are due on Thursday,
May 11th.
Format: Your write-up should be typed. At the top of the first page,
please include:
· The title (Assignment 7 – Motion in the News).
· Your name and the name of your partner.
· Class (Science 10) and block (A or B).
Value: 15 points.
