Policies and evaluation procedures of internship, such as who is responsible for initiating module forms

Knowledge of Health Authority policies and vision; will go to website prior to internship and also go through policies during orientation

Gained knowledge related to rationale and skills required for internship research projects

Due dates for the research are spread throughout the year, it’s not all done at one time during the year

Close knowledge gap related to ethics proposal. Will look through the timeline and wiki created by group 2

Gained knowledge from current interns such as a typical day as well as information about important skills

-Internship is less stressful than it is made out to be. Most interns enter with the skills needed for success.

Review the contents of the ICDEP requirements to hone my skills prior to and during internship. Seek volunteer work during summer related to skills which need development

Completed a comprehensive needs assessment with group members in consultation with various key stakeholders and advisors

There are many opinions and developing a program that works for everyone can be difficult.

Linking to adult learning principles proved very effective

Produced a wiki that was comprehensive without being overwhelming, in addition to being attractive and easy to navigate

The wiki was a good choice for adding content for years to come

Delivered what we believe to be an engaging presentation with a good flow and a few laughs

People have different learning styles and appreciate varied modes of educational delivery in a session so it’s important to mix it up

Take every opportunity to speak publicly that I can, whether it be formally or informally with family and friends

Learned how to key in codes to create a wiki document, which is something I’ve never done before

Compiling information for the facilitation of “just in time” learning for internship is practical and will be helpful next year

More experience with video editing will be valuable in the future, and I would like to learn more. I will employ iMovie over the summer to do this.

Technology isn’t as daunting as I once believed

People don’t always agree on what should be included in educational media but with compromise it comes together quite well

Continue to employ flow charts in brainstorming ideas to develop these skills further

It’s wise to see what resources are already available before starting to plan a program

Working on writing skills can always be helpful, and working on my blog over the summer, of taking on volunteer activities related to writing will allow me to develop these skills

Worked within my group collaboratively, allowing all group members to voice their opinions. Guided the class through the wiki during the educational session in a short yet effective speech

Allowing everyone to have their opinions expressed creates a positive and fun work environment where they feel valued

The majority of the communication between group members was in person which prevented any misunderstandings

Created a storyboard for a video for our wiki which our group then collaborated on to create dialogue and outfit ideas
