  • “Attention students! Are you interested in getting involved in the theatre department? On Tuesday, January 16th from 3-5pm, there will be auditions for the first round of senior conservatories. There will be 3 30-minute shows directed by seniors that need actors! You do not need to prepare anything, scenes will be provided at auditions. Please see Mrs. Cribbs with any questions.”
  • There will be a meeting for anyone interested in participating in football during the 2018 school year in the gymnasium at 12:30 on January 17.

Anyone interested in being a team manager should also attend this meeting.

  • There will be a literacy club meeting during lunch on Wednesday in Mr. Burnside’s classroom, room 5-123. Cookies will be served. New members are welcome
  • Juniors & Seniors- 3rd Quarter Off Campus lunch eligibility letters will be distributed Today, Tuesday January 9, through your 5th period classes. Please review the letters closely. Off campus lunch stickers will be available to purchase at the Senior Doors during office hours & lunch beginning Wednesday January 10 until Friday January 12. After Friday January 12, you must have the 3rd quarter sticker to go off campus for lunch. See Ms. Stach @ the Senior doors with any questions or concerns.
  • Spring Driver Education will begin on January 25th for the Tuesday/Thursday program and January 27th for the Saturday program. Students must register in the guidance office to qualify for the Driver Education. Students must have a Florida Driver’s Permit to be able to register.
  • In collaboration with EVERY school in the area, you and your families are invited to attend our first annual Southeast Volusia Literacy Night. Attendees will be able to participate in FREE games and activities (including an escape room, photo booth, life-size scrabble, cornhole, beachball volleyball, face painting, and touch tank), as well as support our organizations by purchasing dinner from the concessions (including Chick-fil-a sandwiches, Kona Ice, and pizza). Students wishing to participate in the Book Swap will need to bring in their gently-used, school-appropriate books to the Cuda Zone any time between now and January 23rd. There is no limit to the number of books you and your families can swap. Please see your English teacher for more information. Questions can be answered by Mrs. Casey in the Cuda Zone.

Attention Seniors:

The Outstanding Senior Application is due Friday, January 12th. The application is located on the school webpage and can be found under the activities link. In order to be considered for the Outstanding Senior recognition, you must complete a typed application. Please review the qualification requirements in the areas of citizenship, scholarship, extracurricular, and leadership.Once the applications are in, qualifying students will be placed on a ballot for faculty vote.The completed application must be returned to Mr. Merrick in room 1-107 no later than January 12th.

Caps and Gown orders are going on now. If you have not filled out the Jostens Cap and Gown form, please stop by the Activities Office and do so NOW!

The Scholarship Bootcamp is scheduled for January 18th. If you are interested, please sign up in the counseling office.
