GURGAON PROGRESSIVE SCHOOLS COUNCIL, GURGAON

A General Body Meeting of the GPSC was held on 8th February 2016 (Monday) at ‘The Epicenter’ Gurgaon at 2:00pm

Proceedings

1.  The members were welcomed by the Chairperson and the meeting commenced at 2:00p.m

2.  Minutes of the last meeting held at St. PBN Public School, Sec-17B, IFFCO Colony Gurgaon on 28.01.16 were read and confirmed.

3.  The Chairperson, Ms Yasmin Contractor apprised the members that Dr. Sugandh Sharma, Associate Professor and Additional Director, Innovation and Research CBSE would be addressing the gathering in the ‘Inaugural Session’.

4.  It was decided :-

a)  The following members will accompany the Chief Guest for Lighting of Lamp:

b)  The following members will be seated on the dais :

5.  Schools responsible for the duties allotted to them were briefed about the arrangements.

·  The ‘Masters of Ceremonies’ were briefed about their duties and the report-writers of the day-long proceedings were advised to be alert and articulate.

·  Budget for purchase of gift for the VIP guest was approved.

·  It was reiterated that an unedited, comprehensive video coverage of the entire event be prepared.

·  The banner for stage back-drop, design and lay-out of the standee and the contents of the brochure were critically analysed and approved.

·  It was advised that teachers accompanying their respective Principals for the conference be preferably attired in ‘Sarees’ to give the event a more formal look and feel.

·  Lunch coupon will be in the clear bags and all the members are requested to drop it in the bowl when proceeding for lunch.

·  All school to report latest by 8:30 a.m. Schools in-charge of the venue, Stage management and Registration desk to report by 8:15 a.m.

6.  The GPSC Conference fee of the following schools is pending. They are requested to send the cheque to Salwan Public School at the earliest:

S.D. Adarsh Vidyalaya

7.  Articles sent in by the Principals will be uploaded on a ‘blog’ as part of the GPSC Website which will be activated by Dr Sugandh Sharma on the day.

8.  There being no other point, the meeting concluded with the Chairperson extending a warm ‘thank you’ to all member schools for doing their bit in making the conference a huge success.
