Essential / Desirable
Qualifications
·  Level 3 diploma for the children and young people’s workforce (QCS) / ·  CACDP level 1/2 sign language
·  Health and Safety
·  Food Hygiene
·  Fire Safety
·  Moving and Handling
·  NAPPI training
·  NVQ in child care(BTEC or equivalent)
Experience
·  Working with children and young people
·  Working with people with complex physical, communication and sensory disabilities
·  Managing staff teams
·  Working in a multi- disciplinary setting.
·  Group and individual work.
·  Supporting people with intimate personal care tasks.
·  Working in partnership with parents and carers
·  Experience of working as a support assistant in school. / ·  Understanding of Residential Care within school setting.
·  Understanding of Budgetary frameworks.
·  Experience of representation and deputisation at meetings.
·  Experience of Ofsted and CSCI inspections.
·  Working in Challenging environments.
