How to set up multiple CD copy/recording jobs.

Basic steps:

  1. Prepare label art files for printable-CDs
  2. Save image of CD source data as a global (or .iso) image
  3. Record and print CDs

Prepare label art for printable-CDs

It is probably easiest to start the SureThing CD label designer program by double-clicking ITELogo(GenericCD).std or a previously used label for a blank 120mm disk.

To change the background, left-click on the left side the CD icon for Backgrounds, and to add text boxes click Adding Text. Repeat the process for each CD to be made. Save your files and close SureThing when done.

2. Save image of CD source data as a global (or .iso) image

Insert the source CD into the internal CD drive. Start PrimoDVD from the desktop icon ("C:\Program Files\PrimoDVD 2.0 (English)\PrimoDVD.exe").

In the left panel, right-click the source CD drive and choose Build Global Image

At the bottom left, navigate to the folder where you put the print-label file and choose the matching label filename (removing the extension). That way, the global image .gi (or .iso) file name will match the label. Then click the Build button at the bottom right to start saving the data.

Repeat the process for each CD to be made.

Record and print CDs

Load blank printable CDs into the right input bin. Start PrimoDVD from the desktop icon ("C:\Program Files\PrimoDVD 2.0 (English)\PrimoDVD.exe")

Set up recording jobs from the File menu, New Job, Global Image or Other Image

On the right pane checkmark the Print box, click the […] button to navigate to the .std label file, and select the matching global image or .iso file. Double-click the Publisher drive as the target,

and repeat the process for each additional job. Start each job individually by highlighting it at the bottom left, (or right-clicking) and clicking on the round red ‘Go’ button at the top center (or ‘Go’ from the context menu). You can start and queue multiple jobs so that the jobs will run automatically one after the other.

At the end, check for unsuccessful jobs and restart them as appropriate. (Unless the publisher is in kiosk mode, reject CDs will be dropped out the front ramp and good CDs will be placed in the left (output) bin. Allow sufficient time for the ink to dry before spinning the CDs and double-check the CDs to make sure the label corresponds to the data on the CD.
