SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATION CRITERIA

APPLICATION CRITERIA-REQUIRED

*Nebraska Resident

*Full time Nebraska senior high school student, or currently attending college.

*Minimum Grade Point Average of 2.0

*Acceptance into a college or trade school as a full-time student in his/her field of study

*Parents or Guardians are current members of the Southwest Mutual Aid Fire District

*Only students or parents that live in the SW Mutual Aid District qualify for this scholarship

*Summit two (2)Letters of Recommendation (excluding immediate family members)

*In 500 words or more (TYPED): Explain his/her educational goals and career objectives.

AMOUNT:

*ONE (1) $500.00 Scholarship will be given. People/person chosen to receive the scholarship will receive a check directly from the Chairman of the scholarship committee at the FebruaryMeeting of the Southwest Mutual Aid Fire District and will be notified of the date, time, and location of that meeting.

SELECTION OF RECIPIENTS:

The scholarship recipients will be selected by a THREE (3) Member Scholarship Committee that is selected annually by the President of the Southwest Mutual Aid Fire District.
