Partnership Action Plan 2014/15
AONB Aim: To conserve and enhance the features which contribute to the distinctive landscapes of the area.CPRE Worcestershire Branch / To continue to oppose housing and other applications that would diminish the landscape views from and towards the AONB
Helen Woodman / Grassland and woodland management works at Trust nature reserves, Knapp and Papermill, Crews Hill, Blackhouse Wood
Wildlife surveys at the above on plant, dormouse, bat, bird and butterflies, moths
Project work with AONB/NE/WBRC/Worcs Uni on building a picture of habitat and species gaps for targeting future wildlife advice in an areas south east of the Malverns
Bromesberrow Estate / keeping up the theme of environmental stewardship being an important part of the overall good estate management of a vibrant modern estate and community.
AONB Aim: To value, restore and wisely use nature.
Worcestershire Wildlife Trust / Lead guided walks and run event s locally on Knapp and Papermill, Crews Hill and Blackhouse Wood
Bromesberrow Estate / Cattle grazing on Chase End will make a
difference to the grassland of the SSSI as will scrub
removal.
AONB Aim: To preserve, promote and wisely use the geodiversity of the AONB.
Herefordshire and Worcestershire Earth Heritage Trust / It is intended that 8 more important geosites will be conserved by EHT volunteers and professionals. Funding has been obtained from both the AONB SDF,and from Malvern Hills Conservators.
(2) The interpretation boards and geological displays at Tank Quarry will be refreshed by a joint EHT/MHC initiative, supported by the SDF.
AONB Aim: To conserve and enhance the historic environment of the AONB, including the significance of its heritage assets, their setting and historic character of the landscape.
Bromsberrow Estate / Looking at options to develop the rather unsightly farmyard at Gatehouse on Chase End Street. We would very much like to replace the modern range of buildings with the traditional styled courtyard that those buildings replaced
AONB Aim: To support a viable farming and forestry economy which help to maintain the distinctive character of the area.
Worcestershire Wildlife Trust / Employment of local contractors and farmers for forestry, fencing, coppicing and grassland management work such as hay cutting and grazing of livestock
Worcestershire Wildlife Trust / WWT Malvern Local Group promote Malvern Hills and the AONB through their monthly meetings
AONB Aim: To ensure that Development reaches a high standard of design and sustainability that reflects local character.
AONB Aim: To secure a thriving tourism economy that values and supports the special qualities of the AONB.
AONB Aim: To reduce the impact of car traffic and to promote a sustainable approach to transport management.
AONB Aim: Everyone should be able to enjoy and explore the AONB in ways that respect the purposes of designation.
Worcestershire Wildlife Trust / Bring more than 1000 school children and Uni students to the reserves for educational work especially Knapp and Papermill to learn and enjoy wildlife and open spaces
AONB Aim: That people understand and celebrate the area and its designation as an AONB
AONB Aim: That people wish to give their time and effort to the AONB and make it a better place.
