Undergraduate Research Assistant for Mr. Julio Bahamón’s CSC281 course, “Foundations in Interactive Game Design.” Responsible for grading submitted student projects, including essays, midterms, and final projects, in edition to studying how the students used the game creation tools in the class and ways to improve student understanding. (08/2014 - 12/2014)
Lead Club Designer for Video Game Development Club at NCSU. Responsible for creating a unified visual language for the club, and for creating a club language “code” for the club to follow after I leave. Also responsible for designing posters, banners, shirts and more whenever the need arises. (08/2014 - 12/2015, ongoing)
Student Digitization Assistant at NCSU’s Harrye B.Lyons Design Library. Responsible for scanning and improving the numerous works provided to the Library, which get uploaded to the Library’s online database for use by any student over the Internet. My primary tools for the job are Photoshop and the Nikon scanner technology used by the Library. As I am editing raw pictures, a large amount of trust is placed in me to ensure the picture is correctly aligned, cleaned of unneeded markings, colored accurate to the original, and provides a clean, clear view of the subject in the piece. (08/2014 - 12/2015, ongoing)
RESEARCH INTERESTS
I am interested in studying how society and group culture changes based on the introduction of new technologies. Discovering what changes based on new advances is as interesting as finding things that haven’t changed, and maybe never will.
