Indiana FCCLA State Project
Beyond the Basics
OVERVIEW: Beyond the Basics is a project designed to recognize students who know the basics of FCCLA and all it has to offer and can go beyond what they already know. Students must create a tri-fold display demonstrating their increased knowledge and understanding of FCCLA.
This is an individual or team (maximum of 3) Event.
VISUAL GUIDELINES:
1. Use of the planning process to develop your project
and include the planning process summary
2. A tri-fold display board, not exceeding 18” deep X 4’
wide X 4’ high, with No use of electrical equipment.
3. There must be a 3” X 5” index card attached to the
lower corner on the back of the display that identifies:
Name, Chapter name, School, Grade and District.
PROJECT DETAILS:
1. The title of the project must be on the board. A subtitle
is optional.
2. Each step of the Planning Process is fully explained,
neatly typed or written and placed in a folder on the table in front of the display board.
3. The display must include:
A. State Theme
B. How many State officers can we have in the State
of Indiana?
C. What is “Be a Part of it!” and name the three R’s.
D. Choose 3 National Programs and explain how you
Might carry out that project.
E. National Outreach Project
F. Identify and explain all of the State Projects.
G. Where is the next National Leadership

H. What is the name of the state and national
