AMCHS EF Scholarship Application
- Read the FULL DESCRIPTION of all the individual scholarships carefully to see those for which you qualify.
This is a separate download/attachment on the website: givetokids.csisd.org.
- Please mark the scholarships you would like to apply for and fill out the attached application completely. Please note that these scholarships may require a particular major, college or some other unique qualification.
- You will only need to fill out one application if applying for multiple foundation scholarships, unless you are applying for one of the following: D. Brooks Cofer, Jr. Scholarship or the Dillard P. Spriggs Scholarship for Writing and Global Citizenship. Each of these has a supplemental application that can also be downloaded from the website.
Check List to Apply
- Go to givetokids.csisd.org,clickInitiatives and Student Scholarshipson the home page.
- Click on the Application & Info tab to the right. Download and complete application.
- Once your application is finished, click on Apply for Scholarshipand fill out form.
- Upload your completed application and 2 letters of reference.
- Also, upload the supplemental applications if applying for one of those scholarships.
- Then hit Submit. Good Luck!

Scholarship Award Reception Wednesday, May 18, 2016
All scholarship monies awarded will be paid directly to the applicant’s college.

☐ A&M Consolidated High School Class of 1962 Endowed Scholarship $1,000
Must be diligent and hard-working, pursuing a 2- or 4-year degree following high school graduation and preference may be given to financial need
☐ A&M Consolidated High School Classes of 2011 & 2012 Endowed Scholarship $500
Minimum GPA of 3.0, involvement in a variety of school activities and community service, and exhibits leadership
☐ AMCHS Scholarship for the Preservation of Aquatic Resources $1,000
Acceptance into a 4-year college, intent to graduate with a degree in marine biology, oceanography, natural resource management or a closely related field, and AMCHS graduate with a GPA of 3.25 or higher.
☐ James and Carol Barrett Scholarship $500
Demonstrates a strong level of commitment to community service, GPA of at least 2.5 and financial need.
☐ Richard Benning Memorial Endowed Scholarship $1,000
Involvement in school activities, have held a job during high school, GPA of at least 3.0 and financial need.
☐ The Blinn College Brazos County Campuses Presidential Scholarship(tuition for 2 semesters + books)
Must use on two consecutive semesters, GPA of at least 3.0 and financial need will be given preference.
☐ The Blinn College Brazos County Campuses Scholarship for Books (books only & must be attending Blinn College)
Must use on two consecutive semesters, GPA of at least 3.0 and financial need will be given preference.
☐ The Brazos County Retired School Personnel Scholarship $750
Intends to pursue a career in education, GPA of at least 2.5 and financial need.
☐ Art and Myra Bright Endowed Scholarship $1,000
Intends to pursue a degree in math or a career that uses math as the focus.
☐ Mary L. Broussard Achievement Scholarship $1,000
GPA of at least a 3.0, involvement in community service and extra-curricular school activities, and financial need.
☐ H. R. Burnett Scholarship $2,500
GPA of at least a 2.5, involvement in school activities and community service, and financial need.
☐ Lisa Carey Memorial Scholarship $1,500
Must have been actively involved in the color guard at A&M Consolidated for at least two years, one of which being their senior year.
☐ Doyle Coats Academic Scholarship $1,500
Demonstrates strong commitment to community service and a GPA of at least 3.5.
☐ D. Brooks Cofer, Jr. Memorial Scholarship $500 (Requires supplemental application)
Pursuing law as an educational goal and GPA of at least 3.5.
☐ Copy Corner Scholarship for Community Service $1,000
Commitment to community service, GPA of at least a 2.5 and financial need.
☐ CSISD Education Foundation Scholarship $1,000
GPA of at least a 3.0, involvement in school activities and community service, and financial need a plus.
☐ Allison Davis Memorial Scholarship $1,000
Must be a member of the choir program, GPA of at least 3.0 or higher, and intends to pursue a career in music and/or music education.
☐ Lt. Col. Vernon Files Scholarship $500
Must be a cooperative education student and have a GPA of at least 3.0 or higher.
☐ Ashley Lorraine Hobbs Memorial Scholarship $1,000
Must be majoring in education with an emphasis in special education.
☐ The Ronnie Jackson New Horizon Memorial Scholarship $500
Must have financial need and on free/reduced lunch; must be in good academic standing and involved in community service.
☐ Darien Jochen Memorial Endowed Scholarship $750
Must have maintained an overall GPA of 3.5 or higher; must have played a high school sport all four years; and must have additional school or community service beyond being a member of a church youth group.
☐ Ed King Memorial Endowed Scholarship $500
Possess a positive character, noted for having a caring humanitarian spirit towards all, GPA of at least a 2.5, demonstrates a strong level of commitment to community service, and priority will be given for financial need.
☐ Carol & Don Lewis Education Scholarship $1,000
Active in local volunteerism and community service; (not a requirement but a plus): pursuing a teaching degree especially secondary education and financial need.
☐ Mike Patterson Memorial Endowed Scholarship $500
Priority given to student pursuing trade or technical school/college, student must be a hard worker and giving of him/herself but not necessarily an honor roll student, and financial need.
☐ Susan & Bill Patton Scholarship $1,000
Intends to pursue a career in education, and a GPA of at least 3.0 or higher.
☐ Jane Pulley Memorial Endowed Scholarship $1,000
Been an active Girl Scout throughout high school; and completed over 200 hours of service in high school. Priority will be given to a girl who attended Camp Howdy and/or who has completed her Girl Scout Gold Award.
☐ Dillard P. Spriggs Scholarship for Writing and Global Citizenship $2,000 (Requires supplemental app)
Demonstrates interest and talent in writing, possesses an independent mind and the ability to look at the world from a diverse perspective, and has demonstrated interest in bettering the world, such as being active within the school or community.
☐ Startup Aggieland Scholarship $1,000
Demonstrates interest in entrepreneurship through organizations, courses or activities done in high school, financial need, and must attend Texas A&M University in College Station after graduation from high school.
☐ Dean Wile Memorial Scholarship – $1,000
Minimum two-year membership in FFA, minimum 2.5 GPA, must be majoring in agriculture-related field. Must be a U.S. citizen or eligible non-citizen. Community service a plus.
☐ Texas Democratic Women of the Brazos Valley Scholarship $500
For young women who demonstrate interest in political activities particularly within the Democratic Party.
