Food Pantry Student Coordinator Contract
______Term of Service
I understand that I will commit to being a Food Pantry Coordinator for a minimum of one full semester.
______Eligibility
I understand that I must maintain at least six (6) credit hours while in working in the food pantry. I must also maintain at least a 2.5 grade point average, which will be checked each semester by the Associate Dean of Student Engagement. I will not hold a faculty, administrative or full-time staff position at the College while working in the Pantry. I understand that if I am placed on probation by the College for violation of the Student Code of Conduct, I will not be eligible to continue working in the pantry. I agree to read and sign this Food pantry Student Coordinator Contract and abide by all conditions therein. I also agree to satisfy the duties stated in this contract.
______Duties and Responsibilities
I agree to:
- Open and close the pantry.
- Work in the pantry during days and hours of operation.
- Respect all individuals who visit the pantry.
- Contact volunteers 2-3 days in advance to confirm their volunteer shift.
- Train food pantry volunteers.
- Keep accurate information on food pantry recipients as directed by the
Associate of Dean of Student Engagement. - Have students complete an intake form.
- Enter the hard copy student intake forms into the Google Docs spreadsheet.
- Make sure recipients understand that they need to complete a benefits screening
through Single Stop before their second visit.
- Assist in restocking and keeping the food rotated in the pantry.
- Keep the pantry clean and organized.
______Attendance
Attendance and punctuality for your food pantry shift is vital to its success. I understand that if I must miss a shift, leave early or need to be late, I am expected to contact the Associate Dean of Student Engagement prior to the shift to inform them of my absence. If I miss three (3) shifts during a semester without acceptable excuse, I may be dismissed from my position and forfeit my stipend.
______Use of the Food Pantry
I understand that the Food Pantry spacewill contain a computer, telephone that will be available to me. I understand that Food Pantry business comes before my personal use of this space and I agree to not abuse this privilege (ex. inviting friends to hang out in the office, making/receiving a large number of personal phone calls, abusing computer/internet privileges, taking food, etc.).
______Stipend
I understand that I will receive a stipend (subject to pro-rating) at the end of the semester, provided that I satisfy the duties listed in this contract.I understand that I receive this stipend in return for my hard work and commitment to the Food Pantry.
______Cooperative Spirit
I agree to undertake the duties and responsibilities of the Food Pantry with the full intent to work in a cooperative spirit with other students involved and with the Associate Dean of Student Engagement. I also understand that my purpose in holding this position is to represent the interest and well-being of students at CPCC.
