Module B – Life as Avatar
After this module the participants should have learned the basic skills that make their avatar a fully accepted member of the virtual community
They should know (at least):
- How to behave
- How to move
- How to communicate
- How to use items
- How to change their appearance
- … and should have gotten some basic orientation in Chatterdale
Minimally needed time / 90 minutes
Minimal technical equipment /
- presenter’s laptop and beamer with wide screen
- Chatterdale-able computer for at least each pair of participants
- Enough users for at least each pair of participants
Preparation /
- Make sure the participants computers are ready for using Chatterdale (Viewer installed, grid defined, internet available) and that enoughvirtyou-users are available [for details on technical issues: check Module X – Administrators corner]
- Make sure the headsets work!
- Make sure you master all skills that are indicated on the can-do-statement list
- Log into Chatterdale. Have your avatar infront of some nice building, facing the audience.
- Print out the “Imprudence Viewer – Quickstart”file for each participant
- Print out the “Chatterdale – can do statements” file for each participant
