e)MALHAMA (AUS) (A Marcus) was momentarily baulked near the 300 metre mark and thereafter was accidentally struck on the head by Jockey B Lerena rider of VALLANAUT.
f)Jockey A Delpech signed an admission of guilt for a contravention of Rule 58.10.2 in that he mis-used his crop by striking GUSHESHE (AUS) forward of the saddle in the latter stages (He was fined R750.00).

g)Trainer B Impey was questioned with regard to the puncture wound on the left side of the neck of MUSIC WORLD. She explained to the Board that this filly had been given a bleeder preparation at the yard in the morning. This is the only explanation she could offer the Board. MUSIC WORLD wasselected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer B Impey advised. The holding boxes in the security area where her horses were kept as well as her staff were searched. Nothing untoward was found. This matter has been adjourned.

a)AUCTION KING (*D Schwarz) was difficult to load. Lost 1 length. Assistant Trainer D Byrnes advised to re-school this gelding.
b)LAST TIGER (A Delpech), CAT IN COMMAND (B Lerena), MR WINSOME (S Randolph) and WHAT A POET (AUS) (K de Melo) were all slow into stride.
THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED (TN) :
a)NICKLAUS (BRZ) (*E Ngwane) the winner, placed second on an Objection, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Stable Employee J Rich acting on behalf of Trainer D Howells advised (SA).
b)Approaching the 200 metre mark NICKLAUS (BRZ) (*E Ngwane) was hanging out shifted out carrying THIRTYTWO SQUADRON (*T Godden) outwards and bumping and unbalancing THIRTYTWO SQUADRON (*T Godden) on several occasions up until inside the 100 metre mark. This resulted in RUN RHINO RUN (A Forbes) being carried outwards slightly and DANCE ON AIR (A Marcus) becoming cramped for galloping room and having to switch in. LAST TIGER (A Delpech) who was racing on the outside of DANCE ON AIR (A Marcus) became cramped for galloping room and was forced to ease shortly inside the 100 metre mark. An Inquiry will be held into this incident.
c)A race review was called by a member of the Stipendiary Board as well as by Jockey A Forbes rider of RUN RHINO RUN. This was followed by an Objection lodged by a Stipendiary Steward on behalf of the second place horse THIRTYTWO SQUADRON (*T Godden) against the winner NICKLAUS (BRZ) (*E Ngwane) on the grounds of interference in the closing stages. The Board after viewing the patrol videos from the various angles, hearing all the evidence and considering the distance of 0.25 lengths was of the opinion that but for the interference THIRTYTWO SQUADRON (*T Godden) would have beaten NICKLAUS (BRZ) (*E Ngwane) and therefore upheld the Objection and amended the Judge’s result.
