Dear Parent/Carer,

Please find below the information, details and timings for the Decathlon Coventry Half Marathon Children’s Challenge Mile which will take place this Sunday 28th February 2016.

Itinerary and Timings

TIME / DETAILS
8.10am (we will wait until 8.20am) / Meet Mr. Jones / Mrs. Robinson at the Lady Godiva Statue. Mr Jones / Mrs Robinson will then lead the children to the Schools’ Challenge Holding Area.
9.00am / The Coventry Half Marathon begins
9:15am / The Children’s Challenge begins
10.00am / Collect pupils from the Lady Godiva Statue

The children will complete the challenge on a one mile route around the city centre. The route is closed to all traffic and is marshaled by volunteers. (See map A).

PLEASE NOTE - NO PARENTS ARE ALLOWED IN THE SCHOOLS’ CHALLENGE HOLDING AREA

Please can all children bring a filled water bottle to drink after the run.We will provide the pupils with their race

t-shirt and race number on the morning. Mr. Jones will be running with the pupils and Mrs. Robinson will be waiting at the finish area. Once all the children have finished the run they will return to the holding area to collect their souvenirs and any belongings. Mr Jones and Mrs Robinson will then take the pupils to the Lady Godiva statue for you to meet them.

It is essential you complete and return the reply slip with contact numbers on the day. Please confirm who will be collecting your child on that day.

Reply slips need to be handed in to Mr Coyle by 9.30am on Friday morning. Without this reply slip pupils will not be able to take part in the half marathon challenge.
