TGJ2O 2010-2011 Film Post-Production Assignment Rubric

This assignment involves you reflecting on the production process of your film and assessing your individual and group strength/weaknesses. The assignment will be completed as a blog post, but should be treated as a formal piece of writing.

REQUIREMENTS:

1.  Title your blog post: "Film Project: Post-production Reflection" (failure to do so with result in loss of marks)

2.  Write in proper sentences with correct spelling and punctuation

3.  Do the following:

a.  Describe in detail the production process your group worked through to complete the film. You should include:

o  A detailed description of the locations you used and why you chose them (one strong paragraph)

o  A detailed description of who performed what task (one strong paragraph)

o  Two examples of challenges you faced (one-two strong paragraphs)

b.  Describe the editing process. Identify challenges you faced editing the film and making a final product based on the footage you shot. (One strong paragraph)

c.  Evaluate your film based on the goals you initially established in your pitch/script/storyboard. Do you feel you successfully translated your ideas into video? (At least one strong paragraph)

d.  Describe how your group worked. Did you work well? Was there conflict? How did you settle disagreements or reach agreements? What contribution did you make to the group decision-making process? (One strong paragraph)

So, you should have a minimum of six thorough and well-written paragraphs when your post is complete. On Wednesday, April 27 you must arrive at class with a completed blog post and one member of your group must have a completed copy of the film to give me via USB key or on a disc.
