Trading Cards or Awards
Create at least 4 trading cards for characters in your book. An image/illustration and name should be on the front & facts/interesting information will be on the back.
OR
Create 4 awards for characters based on their actions in the novel. One might be awarded “most courageous” for fighting peer pressure, another might be awarded “wisest” for the guidance he or she gave other characters. For each award, write a paragraph that explains why this character deserves this award. / ACROSTIC
Make an acrostic poem from either the title of your book or one of the character’s names (Must be at least 5 letters long). Use words & phrases that are important in the story to complete the poem. Decorate your poem accordingly. / TEST
Create a 10 question test for your novel. At least 2 questions must be short answer. Include an answer key either on the back or on a separate sheet of paper. If you have time, ask one of your group members to take your test. Your test may be typed. It should be neat, organized, and all questions should be relevant to your book.
IN THE FUTURE?
Do you think this story could take place 100 years from now? Write or type 2-3 paragraphs explaining your opinion. Be sure to include at least 10 examples or reasons in your response. Highlight all 10 when you are finished writing your paragraphs so that I can find them easily. / STRUGGLES
Everybody struggles with something at one point in their lives. Write or type 2 paragraphs discussing the struggles that your main character is facing or has faced so far in the story. THEN, write or type 1-2 paragraphs discussing the struggles that you are facing or have faced in your life. Were you able to overcome them? Was your character? / CHARACTER
Using either copy paper or a Google Slide, create a “poster” to represent one of the characters in your book. The poster should have a large image of your character in the center. Surround your character with images that represent them. If you find your images online, be sure to include a citation page as well (where did you find your images?).
