2013 PEEWEE TOURNAMENT RULES

WELCOME TO THE LETHBRIDGE 2013 PEEWEE TOURNAMENT

The Lethbridge Minor Hockey Peewee Tournament will be played under the LMHA and Hockey Alberta Rules, with the following tournament modifications:

Each team will be responsible to provide a scorekeeper , penalty box person and a timekeeper. The home team will be responsible for scorekeeping and the away team will be responsible for timekeeping.

Home teams will wear light colored jerseys , away teams will wear dark colored jerseys

All players must be properly registered, with approved affiliate players, to participate in the tournament. Use of ineligible players will result in disqualification from the tournament. Player’s cards or teams sheets must be made available upon request.Out of zone teams must also ensure that they have their TRAVEL PERMITS in there possession.

Teams should be ready to play 10 minutes prior to scheduled time. Any team more than 5 minutes late for the scheduled time will forfeit the game.

Team warm ups will be 5 minutes in duration.

One 30 second time-out per team, per game will be permitted

Referees decisions during the game are final and all players,coaches, parents and fans must be supportive of theirdecision.

Major penalties are subject for review by the tournament rules committee immediately following the game.Any player or team official, who receives a second major, misconduct penalty, will be suspended from further play. A match or gross misconduct will result in immediate suspension from further play. Tournament rules committee decision is final. Game incidents will be reported.

Managers and coaches will be responsible for the behavior of their team players, parents and supporters associated with the respecting team. Any inappropriate behavior or actions could result in team suspension, and further disciplinary actions deemed necessary by the tournament committee.

Dressing rooms are to be left in a tidy nature and exited within an appropriate amount of time.

The tournament committee reserves the right to make minor changes in the rules and format of the tournament, if required.

Hockey Alberta Rules will be enforced.

All games will be 2 hours in duration with one flood every two periods

All games will be three 20 minute periods stop time

The point system will work as follows:

Win = 2 points

Tie = 1 point

Loss = 0 points

Ties will be decided by the following method;

3. Total penalty minutes, whoever has the fewest will be deemed the winner

Any ties in Sundays finals which will need to be broke will be determined by a three man shootout, if still tied after three shooters , it will be next shooter wins to determine the final winner

Refund policy – No refunds will be given after teams have been selected and cheques have been cashed.
