As Potentate, I would like to welcome you into Rizpah Shriners and wish you and your Lady many good times and meaningful experiences in the coming years. The Shrine builds on the beliefs and obligations of the Masonic Lodge to assist and improve the lives of children with special needs who would otherwise not be so lucky. We have a wonderful group of twenty-two Shriners Hospitals for Children located throughout the United States, Canada, and Mexico dedicated to providing the best care available to children less than 18 years with orthopedic conditions, burns, spinal cord injuries, scoliosis and cleft lip and palate, regardless of the families’ ability to pay. Quality of care is our priority.
This is your day and we want to welcome you into the Shrine, the world’s greatest philanthropy. Please dress casual for the day and/or dressy casual for the evening and enjoy yourself.
The Shrine is a family oriented group, so be sure and bring your Lady. While we are working with the new candidates, there will be a program and activities for the Ladies starting at 9:00 a.m. in our Activities Building. In the evening about 7:15 p.m. there will be a FEZ presentation. If your Lady is not present, I get to pick a Lady from the audience to place the FEZ upon your head and ~~~~~~~~~
The following is a schedule of events for the day. If you have any questions or problems, please do not hesitate to contact Rizpah Shrine Center, your Sponsor, or myself, Al Harston, Potentate.
9:00 a.m.-10:00 a.m. Begin Candidates Registration.
Ladies assemble in the Activities Building with First Lady Elsie
10:00 a.m. – 10:30 a.m. Nobles and Ladies assemble in the Mosque for introductions, movie, and
a shorttalk by First Lady Elsie on “Shrinedom” How we all make it work
10:30 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. Commence First Section for the men
12:00 p.m. – 1:00 p.m. Lunch with the Ladies/Soup and Sandwiches
1:00 p.m. – 2:30 p.m. Commence Second Section for men
Ladies activities continue in the Activities Building.
2:30 p.m. til ? Hospitality will be provided for those who need the watering hole. Also at this
time there will be those that will be assisting in setting up and decorating
for the evening festivities.

7:15 p.m. – 7:30 p.m. FEZ Presentation
7:30 p.m. – 11:00 p.m. Lets Dance and Party with the Renowned “SCOOTER” DAVIS
This is a fun day designed to entertain you and your Lady, so plan to come early and stay late. Rooms are blocked for Rizpah Shriners at the Best Western Motel (Exit 44), in Madisonville, phone 270-821-2121 for reservations. A shuttle will be provided by Rizpah from the Motel to the Activities Building starting 5:00 p.m. and back when you are ready to retire for the evening.
