2018 Tondo Competition
Information and Rules
The works50 - 60finalists will form the Tollman Bouchard Finlayson Barrel Head Exhibition.
These will be on sale for the duration of Hermanus FynArts8 – 17 June 2018.

Prizes:First prize of R20000,Second prize of R10000, and 2 merit prizes of R5 000 each.
Theme: Vintage
Format/Size:Tondo (round), maximum 60cmsdiameter,including mount or frame.
Maximum weight 12kgs.
Media:The following media will be accepted:
Paper, canvas, board, Perspex, fabric, embroidery, collage, mixed media, wood, glass, ceramic, mosaic, photography, digitally/mechanically produced and photo-based.
Presentation:Works may be submittedframed or unframed.Works on paper must be framed behind glass for their protection, while unframed works must be suitably mounted on a firm backing as necessary. Works must be ready for display (with hanging attachment) hanging verticallyon the barrelheads – see photos above. Artists must ensure that their full name and the title of the artwork are written clearly on the back of eachwork - this is most important to avoid confusion if our label comes off.
Entrance fee:R120per work. There is no limit to the number of works per entrant.
*An additional fee of R110per work is payable if your artwork must be posted back to you.
Commission:A sales commission of 25% will be payable to Hermanus FynArts.
Exhibition:The finalists’ works will be exhibited in the Bouchard Finlayson wine cellar in Hermanus. Works must remain on exhibition during the festival. Thereafter in the extended exhibition untilOct 2018 unless the artist wishes to remove their workearlier.

*A completed Entry Form must accompany all Postal and Courier entries. Postal & Courier entries must be insured by the entrant and delivery is at your own risk. The fee for postal returns of unselected or unsold worksis R110 per work sent via the SA Post Office.To return via PostNet or by Courier will be an additional cost determined on size and weight at time of posting. If your artwork is sold and you paid a return postal fee, this will be refunded to you when payment is made.
