Solution Analyst

We have 3 immediate openings for Solution Analysts within the Professional Services team at our headquarters in Ottawa. As a mission-critical IT system, the delivery of high-quality products is key to the continued success of IFS. This role plays a major part in ensuring our IFSMaintenix product is fully integrated into a complex customer IT environment. This opportunity is a full-time permanent position.
Responsibilities:
- Provide business process and knowledge in the design, development, and testing of new IFS Maintenix implementations as well as the enhancement of existing IT systems
- Contribute to the detailed design of IFS Maintenix-based IT solution for a given client by working under the direction of a Senior Solution Analyst or Architect
- Ensure the efficient configuration of IT systems and provide production support and system training support to client implementations
- Plan and execute testing to validate designs and implementations
- Contribute directly to our internal business improvement initiatives
Requirements:
Knowledge and Experience
- University degree in engineering or computer science or management information systems or an applicable education in aviation maintenance and operations, or equivalent
Skills and Experience
- Effective problem solver
- Ability to think critically when faced with a problem or task
- Experience working in a project team environment
- Excellent interpersonal relations and demonstrated ability to work with others effectively in teams
- Proficiency in MS office (i.e. MS Excel, MS Visio, MS PowerPoint, etc.)
Nice to Haves
- 1-2 year of business modelling experience (information and data flow) considered an asset
- Some experience with SQL
- Oracle database experience
- Previous experience in a customer-facing role
You must be able to travel globally (as required) and able to obtain NATO II Security Clearance.
