Hole inthe Wall Gang
September 3, 2006
Once again with the temperatures of 102 in the shade did 55 cowboy shooters make their mark. Six fun stages all taken from Clint Eastwood movies such as “Hang em High” and “Two Mules for Sister Sara” were designed by Nearsighted Nate and his dad El Lobo Diablo. These two designers really hit the markwith stages that moved quickly in the 100 plus degree heat. With four posses of approximately 13 shooters, we shot the match, had lunch and read the scores by 1:15 P.M. Our overall winner by 1 second was Tex Fiddler. Congrat’s Tex!!!
Even with the heat and the fast stages, or maybe because of….we STILL had 12 clean shooters. In no particular order: Tex Fiddler, Swifty Swede, Nearsighted Nate, Latin Gun, Marshal Sturn, Dead Eye Maverick, St. Joe’s Sheriff, Desperado, Shootin Newton, Doc Holiday, Blazing Saddles and Swifty Schofield.
Lunch was served up by our resident cook Latin Gun and, of course, Latin’s Lover for the mere price of $5.00 Yankee dollars. Until further notice or Mr. Gun gets tired, this will be our typical lunch (excluding the Turkey Shoot!!).
Once again we have some of the best and hardest workers who help at our pre-match work parties. Jobs like turning steel, painting steel, putting up the 2 portable Easy-ups, putting together the brand new barbeque, and dropping off cases of water. Hats off to ALL this months HITWG Heroes!!!! Thanks for a job well done!!! The next work party is Saturday October 7, 2006 if you can try to be there, it’s only from 8:00 A.M. to 12:00 P.M….Lunch included!!!
