Help us to share our love for you with others, to witness to your compassion and great mercy; and to show all who search for you the path to your Kingdom. Amen.

Woodmansey. Please pray for the residents in the following streets in WoodmanseyVillage:

Hull Road (north of King Street) and Thearne Lane. Give thanks for new worshipers at St Peter’s.

Baptisms: Evie Donnelly and Elliot White are baptised today at the Minster. Please pray that Evie, Elliot and their families and friends grow in the Christian faith.

Outreach. Pray that the Tour de Yorkshire will help us speak to many new people and welcome them to the Minster – and to all the churches of Beverley.

Funerals. Pray for those who mourn Doris Simpson and Marie Robson.

The Migrant Crisis. Pray for practical and long lasting solutions to the trafficking of people across the Mediterranean, and an immediate effort to rescue thousands of desperate people.

The Prayer Box. The Prayer Ministry Team offer a confidential ‘Prayer Circle’ for anyone wishing for prayer for friends & family suffering illness or any other trouble. The box for such requests is on the Book Trolley in the Nave.

These candidates will be present: Graham Stuart (Conservative), Margaret Pinder (Labour), Denis Healy (Lib Dems), Gary Shores (UKIP), Richard Howarth (Green Party), Lee Walton (Yorkshire First). The Tour de Yorkshire passes the Minster on Saturday 2 May around 12.45 pm. We’ll have two large bicycle wheels horizontal on the towers, and banners and bunting on the railings. We are running a ‘Tour de Minster’ for littlies in the North and South transepts at noon.Yorkshire snacks, tea and coffee will be available in the churchyard through the morning and ‘Tour de Yorkshire’ blue ice cream will be served outside the west doors.

The Minster bells will also be pealing. Come and take part in the fun!

St Leonard’s. The peloton passes St Leonard’s soon after. There’s a Garden Party in the groundsand lots to see.

Mothers’ Union: ‘Wave of Prayer’ Service. Tuesday 5 May, 2.15 pm in the Quire. Refreshments afterwards in the Peter Harrison Room. All welcome.

Food Bank: Thank you for your continuing support. Stocks of long-life milk, tinned chopped tomatoes, tinned vegetables and fruit cordial are low. Treats for children would also be gratefully received. All donations can be left at the Parish Centre, or alternatively in the Food Bank collection point in Tesco, Beverley.

Christian Aid Week 10-16 May. We are trying something different this year. As well as our usual door-to-door collection on some of the streets in the parish, on some other streets we will just deliver envelopes and instead of collecting them, ask people to drop off their envelope at a collection point. Midday Prayers in the Minster. Starting in May, from Monday to Saturday, a team of people will spend an hour each day from 11 am praying in St Katherine’s Chapel, and at noon praying a prayer to be broadcast around the Minster for everyone to join in with. This is an exciting development of our ministry of prayer and welcome – and all are welcome to join in.

Thank you to everyone who sponsored Ben to have his beard shaved off at Easter. You have contributed nearly £600 towards our youth and children's work! If you owe money, or would like to contribute ‘after the event’,see Benin church, or drop it into the Parish Centre.

Minster Kneelers. We provide kneelers for those who wish to use them – they are at the book stand as you come in. The old red leather kneelers are now available for you to purchase – a donation of £5 is invited. Please see the Virgers.

A Washing Machine is needed for Carter Drive (Val Clarke’s house for duty). Offers of a second hand machine (that works!) to Peter Mounstephen on 866505.

Welcomers Wanted.We want to extend the hours that Welcomers are on duty at the door of the Minster. Sessions are for two hours each week and the Welcomers find it an exciting and fulfilling ministry.
