FINALIZED FORGIVENESS

Eph 1:7 In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace.

Rev 1:5 And from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, and the first begotten of the dead, and the prince of the kings of the earth. Unto him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in his own blood,

***

1 John 1:7 But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.

***

Col 1:14 In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins:

***

Eph 1:7 In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace;

***

The Blood of Jesus Christ is indeed still vitaly important, for if it were only symbolic then it would not be spoken of as such here. If He did not shed His own precious Blood, then we would not have “redemption”, we would not be “washed from our sins”, we would not be forgiven of our sins. We would constantly and forever be at odds with our God and would be doomed forever to the Lake of Fire, unforgiven! Concentrate on this Blood and how incredibly important every drop that was shed was to each of us.

FINDING FORGIVENESS

***

Acts 13:38,39 Be it known unto you therefore, men and brethren, that through this man is preached unto you the forgiveness of sins: And by him all that believe are justified from all things, from which ye could not be justified by the law of Moses.

***

Acts 10:43 To him give all the prophets witness, that through his name whosoever believeth in him shall receive remission of sins.

***

1 John 1:9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

***

Acts 26:18 To open their eyes, and to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan unto God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins, and inheritance among them which are sanctified by faith that is in me.

***

Noone is forgiven who is not a child of God’s. The lost may cry out for forgiveness, but until they believe in Christ as the substitutionary sacrifice for their sins, they will not be forgiven! Once one believes, confessing their sins, they immediately receive forgiveness of their sins, Halleluiah! He is no longer upset with us! Child of God, you are forgiven no matter how bad the offense!

***

FULLY FORGIVEN

***

Col 2:13 And you, being dead in your sins and the uncircumcision of your flesh, hath he quickened together with him, having forgiven you all trespasses;

***

Ps 103:3 Who forgiveth all thine iniquities; who healeth all thy diseases;

***

1Jn 1:9 If we confess our sins, He is faithful to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

***

All means all, that’s all all means. Nothing less, nothing more. When you recieve salvation, every sin from past, present, and future is immediately then forgiven you...all of them. No sin in the future is in need of being forgiven you. The judgement on your sins was pur all on His Son. ‘It is finished’ should be our anthem!

***

FOREVER FORGIVEN

***

Ps 32:1-3 Blessed is he whose transgression is forgiven, whose sin is covered.

***

Rom 4:7 Saying, Blessed are they whose iniquities are forgiven, and whose sins are covered.

***

1Jn 2:12 I write unto you, little children, because your sins are forgiven you for His Name’s sake. (Explaining a simple thought for the spiritual babes to grasp that indeed right then and there and forever their sins are all forgiven them. He writes more meatier things to “fathers”.)

***

Forgiveness is not some future happening once in Heaven; it is presently achieved. These action verbs are all in the “present” tense. Stop living your life in the past when you were wicked and wandering. Sense your present status with the Lord God...Forgiven!

***

FORGIVEN AND FORGOTTEN

***

Ps 103:12 As far as the east is from the west, so far hath He removed our transgressions from us.

***

Is 38:17 Behold, for peace I had great bitterness: but Thou hast in love to my soul delivered it from the pit of corruption: for Thou hast cast all my sins behind Thy back.

***

Mic 7:19b ...and Thou wilt cast all their sins into the depths of the sea.

***

Is 44:22 I have blotted out, as a thick cloud, thy transgressions, and, as a cloud, thy sins: return unto Me; for I have redeemed thee.

***

Heb 10:17 And their sins and iniquities will I remember no more.

***

Isa 43:25 I, even I, am he that blotteth out thy transgressions for mine own sake, and will not remember thy sins.

***

When you got saved your standing with God the Judge is right and He will not remember any of the sins from past or even in the future. They are forgotten, hid, infinately far away! Stop remembering all your sins. Get in right fellowship thru confession, but praise His holy name for His forgetting these sins (for He knew all the sins that you would commit).

***

FELLOWSHIPPING FORGIVENESS

***

Eph. 4:31-32, "Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamour, and evil speaking, be put away from you, with all malice: And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ's sake hath forgiven you."

***

Mark 11:25-26, "And when ye stand praying, forgive, if ye have ought against any: that your Father also which is in heaven may forgive you your trespasses. But if ye do not forgive, neither will your Father which is in heaven forgive your trespasses."

***

Matt. 6:14-15, "For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you: But if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses."

***

Wycliffe says “Christ does not here address himself to the unsaved but to his disciples, those who have already entered into a saving relationship with Himself. The forgiveness of which He speaks is not the initial forensic act of forgiveness which abolishes the guilt of sin. It is rather the forgiveness of a father which restores fellowship.”

We have the legal act of forgiveness at the time of salvation, but we still need the fellowshipping act of forgiveness that restores us to a right relationship with the Father, but our position still remains the same...forgiven forever before the Great Judge.

This may also be speaking of “trespasses” specifically. These are done man to man, and is displeasing to God. Acts of sin done from man to God are maybe dealt with differently. Nonetheless, the overwhelming statement from God’s Word on forgiveness is that it is granted in full forever at the time of salvation. Though, it is prudent to keep in right fellowship with our God every time we sin. But sin doesn’t stop us from being His child.
