Could the team leader please complete this team information sheet and email it back to by Thursday 10th September.
The team sheet asks you to detail:
- Which length course your team will complete (see section G for further details)
- Estimated time of arrival
- Dietary requirements
B. Team List
A team list is now available for viewing here. If you don't know or can't remember your team name look at this team list instead. Do take a look and note down the following three key bits of information:
- your team number
- your team's start time
- your team's villa number
It is important that you make a note of these details, especially your team number as you will require this when you register on Friday and at several different times throughout the day on Saturday.
C. Arrival Process
View map of Center Parcs here
Arriving By Car
Make your way to the Arrivals Lodge following the electronic signage. At the Arrivals Lodge you will be met by the Center Parcs arrival team and directed to the car park. It will be useful to have your chalet number to hand.
Your check-in and issue of chalet keys will take place at The Venue. From the car park, please proceed to The Venue by foot following the signposts from Guest Services (located at car park row A).
Once you have registered, you are free to make your way to your villa either directly on foot or by returning to the car park and driving to your villa. You are not allowed to park at your villa, you can only stop briefly to unload. So once you have put your luggage in your villa, please make sure you return your car to the car park.
CARS MUST BE RETURNED TO THE CAR PARK TO AVOID CLAMPING.
Please note the speed limit on site is 10mph
Arriving By Taxi (from the station)
If you are arriving by taxi, the driver maybe happy to drop you at the venue. Otherwise they will drop you outside Guest Services. Please proceed to The Venue on foot following the signposts.
D. Registration
Registration at the Venue will be open from 4.00pm until 10.00pm. At registration, you will be asked for your team number so please make a note of this from the team list. You will then receive your chalet keys, T-Shirts and your Team Walk Challenge pack which will include a pre marked map, check point descriptions, a full set of challenge instructions and a permanent marker pen.
Late Arrivals
Please indicate on your team information sheet if you anticipate arriving after 10.00pm on Friday or early on Saturday morning. Late arrivals should make their way straight to their villa to meet up with their team mates.
E. Villa Allocation
Please take a look at the team list to see which villa your team is in. Do make a note of your villa number, your team number and your start time.
To see where your villa is located, download a high reslolution map here (note it is 2.5MB in size so it may take a while - if you have problems try saving it first before opening it). You may like to print off a copy and mark on which villa you are in.
You will require your villa number if you want to book any activities or a restaurant for the Friday night. All such bookings must be paid for personally.

G. Walk Details
The course is relatively flat with no steep climbs. The maximum time for each walk is 7 hours and your team must opt to complete 1 of 3 routes:
- Short Course - approx. 11 miles
- Medium Course - approx. 18 miles
- Long Course - approx. 22 miles
On top of this, there are also bonus point opportunities (for all 3 courses) which you may or may not wish to visit. More details about bonus points will be in your Team Walk Challenge pack that you will pick up at registration.
Your team leader must indicate which course your team intend to complete on the team information sheet and return this by Thursday 10th September.
All the routes follow well defined paths and forest tracks and large parts of all three routes follow the Robin Hood Way which is a designated National Trail.
Each team will receive an A3 waterproof map which is an extract of Ordnance Survey Explorer Map No. 270 - Sherwood Forest.
The start & finish is situated near the tennis courts. Please download and print a copy of this map which has the start location marked on it. You must make your way to the start on foot - no bikes or cars are allowed at the start. When you get close to the tennis courts, follow the Marsh Team Walk Challenge signage to the start.
The team must remain together at all times.
H. Bike Hire
Some of you may find it useful to have a bike to help you get around the Center Parcs site. Free bikes are available for everyone who wants one from the Freewheelers Cycle Centre (which can be found on site near Guest Services and the car park).
When you go to pick up your bikes inform the hire centre staff that you are part of the Marsh Group and give them your villa number. The bike hire is open from 09:00 hrs to 20:00 hrs.
We appreciate that this won’t be convenient for late arrivals. However, bikes are not essential certainly prior to the start of the walk. All chalets are no more than 12 minutes walk from the Venue (the event HQ) and bikes are not permitted at the start of the walk. All teams must walk to the start.
If you intend to stay all day on the Sunday you can pick up bikes when you return from the walk.
No bikes at the Start
I. Saturday Lunch
Teams will be responsible for providing their own lunch / snacks on Saturday. There is a convenience store called ParcMarket onsite. For opening hours and more details please see here.
Alternatively, you may wish to get provisions offsite. This is probably the cheapest option.
