Pickled people
Something fun for the end of January. Pickled people are easy and fun to make, their heads are made from tights and stuffing, the faces are then added using eyes, wool for hair and whatever else you wish. They are then squashed into and pickled in a jar - without vinegar!
Need - A clearglass jar each, coffee jar size or bigger. Old tights. Bag of stuffing.
Applique
Learn a simple technique of applique - this is an ornamental form of needlework, where small pieces of fabric are stuck or sewn to a larger background piece to produce a picture, the picture can be of anything you want. This can then be used for a card, wall hanging, quilt etc.
Need - Iron and iron assistant.
Fabric Flowers
These flowers are easy to make and are bright and cheery, the petals are made from squares of fabric and then joined together to make the flower. The flowers can then be worn as jewellry, used as an embellishment on clothes or bags, or use as a decoration on presents.
Need - Nothing
Knitting
Knitting for all abilities including non knitters. Bring your own project or knit a square to put towards a charity blanket, charity blanket wool will be provided.
Need - Everything, wool & needles.
