Michigan and Tel Aviv University Collaboration
Neuroscience, a growing Frontier
CALL FOR APPLICATION FOR STUDENT EXCHANGE PROGRAM
The Tel Aviv University (TAU) - University of Michigan (UM) student exchange collaborative program aims to expose excellent Ph.D. Israeli students (TAU) and American students (UM) in neuroscience to each other's research laboratories and to spend 1-4 months in a collaborating laboratory. The program aims in establishing long-term cooperation between the collaborating labs leading to joint publications and grants submission and thus are expected to continue beyond the initial short-term visit.
Up to four annual projects will be approved for either a TAU student visit to UM, (Ann Arbor, MI) or a UM student visit to TAU. Priority will be given to new applications each year before extension for a second year.
For Israeli’s travelling to Ann Arbor: up to $6,000/project (depending on the length of the visit), funded by TAU will be available to cover airfare and accommodations in Ann Arbor. UM will cover research expenses of TAU visitors hosted by UM researchers in Ann Arbor.
For American travelling to Tel Aviv University: up to $6,000 per project (depending on the length of the visit) will be made available through a Rackham Graduate School Global Engagement of Doctoral Education Grant targeted to the Medical School at the University of Michigan to cover airfare and accommodations in Tel Aviv. TAU will cover research expenses of UM visitors hosted by TAU researchers in Tel Aviv.
Application process
