Prior to Change:

The Fiber Protection System shall be placed horizontally parallel to within 6 inches, relative to the front or rear of the terminating equipment i.e. FDF or Network Element, depending on which side of the bay the fiber terminates. Each bay in the lineup should have a downspout. Each vertical drop from the rigid downspout going to the bay shall be placed within two inches of the top of the bay.

In the event that a downspout is not practical then the use of a horizontal TEE or horizontal trumpet flare may also be used but the use of the downspout as out lined above is always first choice.
