ONE – PAGER

1.  Now that we have studied the French Revolution in some detail, each group is going to look at a different revolution in history, make a one-pager and present it to the class.

2.  Use visual images that summarize or represent the reading. Either draw them or cut them out of a magazine-use them to create the central focus of your one pager.

3.  Using food as a metaphor for “recipe of a revolution”, choose a food whose recipe will represent the basic ingredients to all revolutions (opposing sides, access to weapons, aims expressed in a slogan, leaders, ailments))

4.  Include dominant impressions, feelings or thoughts about what you have read. Don’t copy phrases from the text, USE YOUR OWN WORDS-YOUR INTERPRETATION. These do not have to be complete sentences. Pull out quotations from the reading that have meaning to you.

5.  Ask higher level thinking questions and answer them.

6.  Use colored pencils/markers/etc. The more visually appealing, the more your peers can learn from your patterns. Use unlined paper. Use the whole paper.

7.  SHARE: You will present your poster to the class as a way to TEACH about your revolution.
