The Southern California Market has prioritized the program areas below in no particular order of importance, however it is open to receiving applications that address all other program areas listed in the LOI.

Sustainable Connected Communities
Program Area –Equitable Transit Oriented Development / Geographic Priority / Additional Criteria
Enterprise supports CDCs and CHDOs to advance neighborhood transformational developments that unite residents, community groups, public agencies and philanthropic organizations to create inclusive and equitable neighborhoods.Proposals must demonstrate a comprehensive approach to community development ensuring that well-designed, affordable homes are connected to resources like health care, schools, jobs and transportation. Grant funding will be available to support CDCs and CHDOs to improve their organizational systems, andtosupport staff and consultants to advance and/or implement neighborhood transformative projects through comprehensive master planning, creative place-making, and neighborhood revitalization efforts that foster collaboration and partnership across sectors. / Los Angeles County / Grant Amount:
between $50,000 to $100,000
Eligibility:
  • Competitive applicants must demonstrate a community engagement strategy or have a letter of support from a partner which will conduct community engagementfor the applicant
  • Recipients will be required to participate in our local Sustainable Connected Communities peerlearning exchange

Preservation of Small Multifamily
Program Area – Affordable Housing Production and Preservation / Geographic Priority / Additional Criteria
The vast majority of housing in Los Angeles County is small multifamily (2- 49 units) housing. While this stockis unsubsidized,non-deed restricted affordable housing in historically low-income neighborhoods, gentrification, unprecedented investment in public infrastructure, and other market factorsareleading to the displacement of long-term residents.Our focus is to develop strategies thatpreserve the affordability of small multifamily properties as one way to address resident displacement. Grant funding will be available to CDCs and CHDOs to build their capacity to acquire, operate and own small multifamily properties, anddevelopasset management and/or propertymanagement strategies that can be replicated and scaled. / Los Angeles County / Grant Amount:
Up to $25,000
Eligibility:
  • Competitive applicants must have experience owning and/or operating one or more small multifamily properties
  • Recipients will be required to participate in Sustainable Connected Communities small multifamily preservation trainings

Preservation of Permanent Supportive Housing
Program Area – Affordable Housing Production and Preservation / Geographic Priority / Additional Criteria
Enterprise supports capacity needs for CDCs and CHDOs that are challenged with addressing unmet physical and financial needs associated with preserving an aging PSH portfolio. Proposals should incorporate a portfolio-wide approach to ensure that the aging inventory of PSH units are sustainable over the long-term horizon of ownership. Proposers can request financial or technical support to restructure one or more at-risk, aging PSH properties. Properties targeted for PSH preservation assistance must be no less than 15 years old since their Placed in Service date. / Los Angeles County / Grant Amount:
Up to $40,000
Eligibility:
  • Successful history in the care and housing of chronically homeless persons.
  • Minimum of 5 years of successful history with developing, owning and operating PSH
  • Portfolio of no less than300 PSH units

Health and Housing
Program Area – Health and Housing / Geographic Priority / Additional Criteria
Enterprise seeks to build the capacity of CDCs and CHDOs to introduce and/or scale evidence-based health interventions, either directly within their own organization or through linkages with external health partners, to increase resident health outcomes and better coordinate how residents receive services.We also have a further priority focus specifically on addressing the health needs of low-income, vulnerable seniors. / Southern California / Grant Amount:
Up to $40,000
