We hope that you will join us in 2009 for another great day of golf in support of children and their families living with Childhood Cancer.

Reasons to Get Involved

Since 1974Childcan The Childhood Cancer Research Association has been supporting families from across Southwestern Ontario and works with Paediatric Oncology services of Children’s Hospital, London Health Sciences Centre and various community agencies to support children and their families living with childhood cancer. Childcan raises funds to provide responsive and compassionate support services to families facing the journey through childhood cancer – from diagnosis, treatment, recovery, or bereavement.

This annual tournament is held in memory of Cory Bowden, a young man that lost his life to childhood cancer. My son Jamie Stover was on treatment at the same time as Corey, Jamie is now a healthy young adult and Cory earned his angel wings much too soon. It is in memory of Cory and other children and their families who continue to face their own childhood cancer journey that this tournament continues to raise funds and awareness. Over the past seventeen years this event has raised over $210,000 for Childcan and the families they support.

How Can Your Company Get Involved

You can be an event sponsor, hole sponsor, prize donor and/or a tournament player or team. We have several different levels of support available. (See attached information)

How Can Your Employees Get Involved?

We have included an entry form for a 5-person team scramble with a shot gun start at 7:00 a.m. at Westminster Golf Trails in London. Golf is followed by a barbecued steak luncheon at the Centennial Club, St. Tomas. Our last seventeen tournaments have been completely full several weeks prior to the event. To avoid disappointment register early. Remember to include your cheque made payable to Childcan Golf Tournament and send to the above mailing address.
