How We Use Your Data
Brookstone uses information from your visits and purchases in a number of ways, including:

Brookstone also contracts with third-party service providers to place our advertising messages on other websites and digital properties. They may also use information about your visits to our and other digital properties to target advertisements for goods and services. This anonymous information is collected through the use of a cookie and a pixel tag, which is industry standard technology, used by most major websites.

The information gathered by Brookstone may be shared in the following ways:

  • We will not exchange our customers’ email addresses with other marketing partners.

  • We may at times send you a Brookstone sponsored offer on behalf of another partner or retailer.

Telephone Numbers

  • We do not sell or rent our customers’ telephone numbers
  • We will not exchange our customers’ telephone numbers with other marketing partners.

When writing us to be removed from a list, please include your first and last name and full mailing address.

Please note, if you ask us to remove your name, address and/or email address from our email or postal mailing lists, we will maintain that information in a “do not mail” file to ensure that we can honor your request.

Your opt-out request will be processed within 1-3 days of the date it was received for email or text offers and 8-10 weeks for direct mail offers.

How We Protect Your Information
Brookstone has taken measures to ensure that shopping at Brookstone.com is a safe and enjoyable experience for our valued customers. We use a minimum 128-bit Secure Sockets Layering (SSLv3) with industry standard strong encryption to encrypt your personal credit information, including your credit card number, before it travels over the Internet. Brookstone uses SSL technology which is the industry standard for secure online transactions. It is our policy that credit card information is stored in an encrypted format, which makes it legible only to systems that have access to the associated decryption key.

International Customer Policy
Brookstone has partnered with FiftyOne, Inc. (FiftyOne) for international shipping orders.

At checkout you will be required to submit the same data we require for domestic orders. Upon completion of your order, FiftyOne will notify us of the approval of your order, and we will then ship approved orders to FiftyOne. Simultaneously, FiftyOne will purchase the product from us, which allows them to take title to the product(s), bill your credit card, collect and remit any duties and taxes to the appropriate taxing authority and arrange for the product to be delivered to you. In this process, FiftyOne makes the sale to you as the merchant of record. When ordering a product, you will be presented with FiftyOne's Terms and Conditions and Privacy Policy to which you must agree in order to receive the product(s) you ordered.

Once you place your order, you may be prompted to check the box to indicate if you would like to receive information from Brookstone regarding offers and promotions that may be available from time to time. If you check the box, FiftyOne will share your information with Brookstone, and we, Brookstone will protect and use your information in accordance with this Privacy and Security Policy.

Privacy of Children
This site is a general audience site and is not intended for use by children under the age of 13. To ensure compliance with federal law, Brookstone does not knowingly collect or maintain information provided by, nor does it actively market any of its products to, children under the age of 13.

Automatic Collection of Information (Cookies):
A cookie is a small piece of information that websites use to remember information about users. Brookstone uses two types of cookies to recognize our browsers and customers and remember shopping list items. Brookstone uses transient cookies to provide continuity from page to page. Within a single visit, these cookies store information such as your shopping list to simplify checkout. They do not contain any personally identifying information.

Brookstone also uses persistent cookies to identify customers after their first visit. These cookies remain on the hard drive of a device and allow a user to enter our site without having to log in on every visit. To access any secure areas such as those including your account information you must still enter your password.
