CLASS TITLE:DEPUTY CLERK SUPERVISOR - SES
ALLOCATION FACTOR(S)
This is work supervising Deputy Clerks. The primary duty of the employee(s) in the positions(s) allocated to this class is to spend the majority of time communicating with, motivating, training and evaluating employees, planning and directing their work; and having the authority to hire, transfer, suspend, layoff, recall, promote, discharge, assign, reward or discipline subordinate employees or to effectively recommend such actions.

- Motivates employees to improve the quality and quantity of work performed.
- Plans and directs work flow to ensure even distribution and completion of work within required time frame.
- Evaluates employees through establishing evaluation criteria and responsibilities and meeting regularly with employees to ensure the established criteria are met.
- Trains employees in methods for performing an effective and efficient job.
- Communicates with employees to ensure best use of time and resources.
- Directs the work of employees to ensure best use of time and resources.
- Manages and supervises all activities of the Deputy Clerks.
- Coordinates the training of users in the proper use of equipment.
- Makes recommendations for long range planning.
- Makes recommendations for long range programs and space needs.
- Determines work priorities between groups and resolves user complaints.
- Edits work of users and maintains records and reports.
- Answers inquiries from staff and public.
- Proofs final work products of Deputy Clerks to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Operates office automation equipment.
- Performs related work as required.
