MBAD 705: INTERNATIONAL BUSINESS STUDY TOUR: EMERGING MARKETS: THAILAND & SINGAPORE

COURSE DESCRIPTION: Asia has the world’s fastest growing economies. This study tour takes you to Thailand (an emerging market) and to Singapore (an economic power house). Thailand and Singapore provide natural contrasts to each other. Thailand is often referred to the land of smiles, has a rich history and culture, and a per capita income is about $8000. By contrast, Singapore is a dynamic, modern city state with the world’s largest port, and has a per capita income of about $57,000. The class will visit MNCs, domestic companies, a university, and many cultural sites helping us better understand international business and trade.
TRAVEL FEES: $3500. Fees include international air fares(JFK>Bangkok>Singapore>JFK); 4star hotels, based on double occupancy (breakfasts included); airport>hotel transfers; luggage handling; local transportation to site visits; a welcome dinner cruise, a farewell dinner, 2 days of visiting cultural sites in Thailand (including entrance fees & lunches); walking tours of Bangkok & Singapore; travel documents with city information; and travel insurance. Fees exclude passport fees; gratuities; personal expenses, such as telephone charges; dry cleaning, etc. ; costs of 6 lunches & 7 dinners.
