Steward for Time, Talent & Treasure & Parish Life
Saint Michael Catholic Church, in beautiful downtown Olympia, Washington, has an immediate opening for a full-time (40 hours/12 months) Steward for Time, Talent & Treasure & Parish Life. St. Michael is searching for a person who loves our Lord and is filled with gratitude for God’s many gifts; someone who is energized by serving, by being part of a dynamic team, and whose passion is spreading the biblical stewardship message that all is gift from God, who calls us to share.
Minimum Qualification
1. An active member of a Roman Catholic faith community;
2. A rich life of prayer and person-centered skills;
3. Ability to demonstrate a personal practice of stewardship as a way of life;
4. Self-starter with good organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects;
5. Have solid interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills;
6. Ability to work evenings and weekends as responsibilities require;
7. Ability to plan, set goals, and work effectively and efficiently as a team, with individual staff members & volunteers;
8. Competency in standard office computer application. Adept at utilizing social media and other modern communication methods as outreach tools;
9. Ability to manage ministry budget and keep appropriate records on all financial transactions;
10. Possesses a valid driver license and ability to provide own transportation for job-related responsibilities (mileage reimbursement provided);
11. Familiarity with or willingness to be trained in Clifton StrengthsFinder™ as a tool to enhance parishioner engagement.
Preferred Qualification
1. BA in related fields
2. Prior experience (work or volunteer) in a Catholic parish in the area of Stewardship;
3. Thorough understanding of Stewardship and its elements;
4. Three or more years of experience in Stewardship development;
5. Competency with Microsoft Access or PDS (Parish Database System).
