Configuring Link Manager to work with Mitchell Repair Center:
Information you need to know when setting everything up:
Shop ID: This can be found in the bottom left hand corner of Repair Center
Postal Code:This is the Zip Code where the shop is located.
House Number: This is the number portion of the shop’s physical address
Discount:This should be entered as a whole number representing a percentage
You also need to understand the following for Mixit Pro and Link Manager Setup:
Setting up Own Price:
Mitchell Repair Center tracks paint and materials on a single line. This means that we cannot just send over paint cost because it will not give Repair Center accurate cost tracking information. To compensate for this, we have to increase our own price within Mixit Pro to account for materials cost as well. Most shops have chosen to do this by increasing the own price within Mixit Pro by the standard percentage that is acceptable within their region (see example below)
Setting the Discount Price:
Mitchell Repair Center uses two prices (Vendor List and Cost) to track profitability of paint and materials. Unfortunately, Mixit Pro only stores one price. To compensate for this, we have included a section in Link Manager that asks for a discount amount. This discount is applied to the price information that comes from Mixit Pro to get a list and cost price for the paint (see example below).
The following example will explain more about what is needed for setup:
Work order 1234 exists in Mixit Pro. The customer mixes $100 worth of paint for that work order. How do you get accurate information into Repair Center?
Step A: Setup the Own Price within Mixit Pro
Increase the Own Price in Mixit Pro based on how much the shop wants to charge their customers (retail price) for paint and materials. In many case this will be using the list price out of Mixit Pro and adding 30% to account for materials (allow the customer to decide on the final numbers). In our example, the Repair Order value in Mixit Pro will be $130.
Step B: Setup the Discount Price within Link Manager
Our shop for this example wants to use a 20% discount because that represents how much discount they get off of list price from their distributor (the customer sets this number).
Result: Vendor List and Cost are accurate within Repair Center
The answer to our example would place $130 in Vendor List and $104 in Cost. This would indicate that the customer made $26 in profit on the sale of the paint.
