MARC Updates eBooks Customization Form
MARC Records for eBooks Group Customization Form
Thank you for subscribing to MARC Updates for eBooks. We are excited to introduce this content set, which is based on a workflow similar to the existing MARC Updates service for e-serials.
We understand that many libraries are still developing their collections for eBooks and their policies/procedures for providing access. We have provided some general customization guidelines for you to review as you consider your data needs and local cataloging conventions. Our cataloging guidelines are based on “MARC Record Guide for Monograph Aggregator Vendors” from Program for Cooperative Cataloging for Born Digital Editions, as opposed to Reproduction. Our system allows for extensive record manipulation, so we encourage you to ask about any other enhancements you may require.

[1] Clients using an Innovative ILS are encouraged to add “OCM1” before the Serials Solutions unique identifier. This allows you to use the standard Innovative OCLC load table, rather than purchasing one from Innovative, or creating one yourself. If “OCM1” is not added, non-digit characters will be stripped, and could overlay on a record with a matching OCLC number.
