Battery Design Engineer
Main Responsibilities:
  • CAD model and drawing qualities
  • Project timing
  • Package check and reporting to the lead or senior engineer
  • Information exchange (other designers, customer resident engineers, lead engineer, senior engineer)
  • Consideration of design guidelines
  • Battery pack layout and detail design under consideration of technical function, costs and production
  • Battery cooling system layout and detail design under consideration of technical function, costs and production.
  • Creation of 3D Cad models and assemblies
  • Creation of detail drawings
  • Creation of Bill of Material (BOM)
  • Consideration of project related design guidelines
  • Responsible for design corrections
  • Technical cross check between components
  • Partly data transfer (AVL intern, Customer, Supplier)
  • Design supporting calculation
  • Packaging investigations
  • Support of the senior and lead designer
  • Developing of Know How
  • Keep project timing, keep deadlines
  • CAD data handling and maintenance

Qualification:
  1. Minimum of bachelor degree, Engine Engineering preferred
  2. At least 2 - 5 years’ work experience in a large SOE, JV or multinational companies related to battery engineering. Battery package and / or assembly design. Preferably from layout and detailing; Additional knowledge of battery development and production processes
  3. Capable in the generation of 3D parametric models and associated 2D drawings by using of CATIA, Creo and or NX CAD system.
  4. Familiar with Windchill PDM system.
  5. Good English & Chinese communication skills is necessary
  6. Represent the professional image of AVL at all the time
  7. Capable of designing high voltage, high current, creepage and clearance.

Gasoline/Diesel Calibration Engineer
Main Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for OBD and IUPR regulation calibration.
  • Understanding of Chinese GB Standards required for engine developmentand setting up boundary condition for project accordingly
  • Design and implementation of engine test programs to achieve project development targets within budgets and timescales
  • Conducts detailed experiments according to guidelines
  • Evaluation, documentation and presentation of experimental results in English
  • Participate the vehicle environment tests including testing, calibration, and communication with customer.
  • Support of other activities within AVL as required

Qualification:
  • Technician college certificate, Bachelor degree or above, major in Mechanical or Automation engineering.
  • Minimum of 2 years experience in mechanical development of gasoline and diesel engines or engine component systems.
  • Familiar with test bed systems, test bed testing methods and calibration procedures
  • Familiar with engine testing equipment (AVL or equivalent)
  • Familiar with gasoline and or diesel engines and associated systems (cooling, lubrication, fuel, valve train, piston and liner interface etc)
  • Good communication skills, and presentation skills
  • Good team player, self -motivated.

Application Software Engineer
Main Responsibilities:
  • Develop xCU application software for hybrid or pure EV project according to the software component requirement and follow the AVL development process and automotive standard coding rules guidelines
  • Develop software requirement from PT system level to software component level.
  • MiL, SiL, HIL testing of software functionality and vehicle commissioning
  • To cooperate, exchange technical information and work sharing with internal and global software team

Qualification:
  • Engineering degree and at least 2 years application software development experience on ECU(hybrid control units/VCU is preferred)
  • Good Knowledge of C and Matlab/Simulink or Ascet programming
  • Familiar with CAN communication
  • Good knowledge on application software development process and software configuration management system(e.g. MKS or Doors)
  • Good sense of planning tasks in a team regarding time management, target definition, quality
  • Familiar with Rapid Control Prototype (DSpace MicroAutobox, ETAS 910) would be appreciated
  • Good intercultural communication skills and self-motivation
  • Very good communication of English(speaking and writing)
  • Good character

Hybrid Powertrain Safety Engineer
Main Responsibilities:
  • Functional safety work products
  • Referent for Safety topics in STC
  • Participate in Project definition together with his responsible for all safety aspect
  • Synchronize with global HQ in GRAZ on Safety Related topic of Chinese AVL projects

Qualification:
  • Bachelor degree or above in electrical engineering
  • Familiar with system engineering process
  • Master all Functional Safety work product from the ISO 2626-2 (HARA, Functional Safety Concept TSC etc..)
  • Master FMEA / FTA tools
  • Familiar with xEV powertrain architecture and functions
  • Master Dependability topics (Reliability, Safety, Quality)
  • Excellent English skills / German is a plus

Gasoline Engine P&E Development Engineer
Main Responsibilities:
  • Design and implementation of engine testing programs to achieve project development targets within budgets and timing scales;
  • Provision guidance for engine installation, test bed set-up and engine testing processes and development experiments;
  • Develop formal and clear technical reports to provide findings and interpretation/analysis of test results;
  • Prepare reports for internal and external reviews and make recommendations based on test results;
  • Perform task force duties for trouble-shooting and adaptable to varied P&E support work to include customer on-site.

Qualification:
  • Technician college certificate, Bachelor degree or above, major in mechanical engineering or a related engineering field, with solid knowledge of combustion engines and thermodynamics
  • Min. 3 years of experience testing or developing engines on dynamometers, including combustion system development for production engines (AVL Puma, Cameo, Concerto preferable)
  • Familiar with test bed systems, calibration tools, testing methods and thermodynamic & calibration procedures
  • Understanding of Chinese GB Standards required for engine development
  • 1D thermodynamic prediction or 3D CFD background is preferred
  • Good communication skills, and presentation skills in English
  • Self-motivated and good team player
