Uniforms – Every student must have a Bear River PE Uniform – NO EXCEPTIONS!!

Price

  • Ash white shirts $10
  • Blue shorts $10
  • Total= $20

White Box on Shirt and Shorts

  • Last name, First Initial (Smith, J)
  • DO NOT write anything else in the white box or anywhere on the shirt or shorts. If you do, you will be asked to buy a new one.

Your own uniform

  • You are allowed to wear your old uniform if you want to
  • You can also wear a siblings uniform if they no longer attend Bear River
  • You are not allowed to wear another student’s uniform

Sweats and Sweatshirts

  • You can wear any kind of sweats or sweatshirt as long as the PE uniform fits under them

-AND-

  • As long as you did not wear them (sweats or sweatshirt) to school that day!!!!!!
  • Color doesn’t matter

Hats

  • No hats allowed in PE class

Shoes

  • Athletic shoes are REQUIRED (court shoes) – we have a very nice floor and we would like to keep it that way as long as possible.
  • NO black sole shoes (vans, DC, etc.)

Lockers and Locks

Small lockers (baskets)

  • Every student will be given a small locker at the beginning of the year

Big lockers

  • Students can use a big locker to store their backpack during their class time only

Locks

  • Every student will be issued a lock
  • They are responsible to keep this lock all year. If it is lost they will owe the school $6.50

Valuables

Please leave all valuables at home!!!!

PE staff is not responsible for lost or stolen items in the locker room

PE staff will not hold valuables on their person during class

Your job as a PE student

How to EARN all 5 of your points each day

  • Dress down in your PE uniform everyday for PE
  • Do the warm-up
  • Jog during your 5 minute timed run
  • Participate with your best effort in every activity
  • Shirt is tucked in

How to LOSE your points

  • Not dressing in your PE clothes
  • Being lazy in the warm-up or timed jog
  • Goofy around in class
  • Not giving your best effort
  • Shirt is not tucked in

Non – dress Policy

1st non-dress

  • Warning

2nd non-dress

  • Phone call home

3rd non-dress

  • Phone call home
  • Referral

4th and on non-dress

  • Phone call home
  • Referral
  • If it continues to be a problem the vice principal will be notified and further consequences will be added

Loaners

Each student will be allowed to borrowone uniform from the PE department a trimester

  • If you only borrow shorts or just a shirt it still counts as one uniform
  • Loaners are washed and cleaned by the PE department

Injury Notes

If your child is injured they need a note from you to be excused

If your child is going to miss more then a week of PE (three days) they need a DOCTORS note

While your child is injured they will receive their points by completing a PE packet. They will have two class periods to finish it but if it is not done then it becomes homework.

Units

Over the course of the year we will cover most of the following: track and field, fitness testing, hockey, lacrosse, badminton, pickle ball, soccer, golf, ultimate frisbee, dance, health, gymnastics, circuit training, etc.
