A JOINT RESOLUTION

TO APPROVE REGULATIONS OF THE SOUTH CAROLINA CRIMINAL JUSTICE ACADEMY, RELATING TO APPLICATION FOR ISSUANCE OR REISSUANCE OF CERTIFICATION, DESIGNATED AS REGULATION DOCUMENT NUMBER 4374, PURSUANT TO THE PROVISIONS OF ARTICLE 1, CHAPTER 23, TITLE 1 OF THE 1976 CODE.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:

SECTION 1. The regulations of the South Carolina Criminal Justice Academy, relating to Application for Issuance or ReIssuance of Certification, designated as Regulation Document Number 4374, and submitted to the General Assembly pursuant to the provisions of Article 1, Chapter 23, Title 1 of the 1976 Code, are approved.

SECTION 2. This joint resolution takes effect upon approval by the Governor.

SUMMARY AS SUBMITTED

BY PROMULGATING AGENCY.

S.C. Code §234720(C)(15) authorizes the Law Enforcement Training Council to make regulations necessary for the training of telecommunication operators or dispatchers. The proposed additions to the regulations will add a section to make 911 operators’ process for application for issuance or reissuance of certification comparable to S.C. Reg. 38002.

Notice of Drafting for the proposed amendments was published in the State Register on January 25, 2013.
