SUMMER 2010 GRADUATION DEADLINES
Reminder: / Doctoral Candidates - To be eligible to schedule the doctoral final examination for the 2010 summer session, the preliminary examination must have been completed before or during the 2009 summer session.06/11/2010 / Last day for a plan of study to be received by the Graduate School to graduate in August.
06/23/2010 / Last day to declare candidacy for degree for August graduation.
Reminder: / Final Exam request forms for thesis option students must be received more than 2 weeks before the requested exam date.
07/09/2010 / Last day for thesis option candidates registered "exam/degree only" to submit the appropriate Report of Final Examination and the Thesis Receipt forms. If these two forms are not received in the Graduate School, the registration will be revised to research credits and the student will be held to the later deadline date of 07/23/10.
07/23/2010 / Absolute deadline for students to pass the final examination. Final examination reports must be received for all graduating students by the Graduate School, Room 170, Young Hall (YONG). Students for whom a final report is not received will not be able to graduate in August. NOTE: “Exam/Degree Only” thesis candidates must meet the earlier deadline of 07/09/10 in order to avoid research credits being added to their registration.
07/23/2010 / Signed candidate audit/certification forms are due back to the Graduate School no later than this date.
NOTE: / Exit Questionnaires (Master’s and Doctoral) and Survey of Earned Doctorates (Doctoral only) must be completed before the thesis final deposit appointment. A copy of the receipt needs to be brought with the student to the deposit appointment.
07/30/2010 / Master’s thesis and Ph.D. candidates must submit their dissertation via Electronic Thesis Deposit (ETD) at least 24 hours prior to their scheduled appointment. All required forms must be deposited at the mandatory, scheduled, final deposit appointment in the Thesis/Dissertation Office, Room 170, Young Hall (YONG) by this date.
Master's and Ph.D. candidates with "Confidential" theses/dissertations must also submit their departmental copies to the Graduate School. Deposit appointments can be made by calling 765-494-2600, or email .
