The “Baltic Artek-2012” speaks English
The applying company for the international youth camp (forum) “Baltic Artek-2012” organized by the Agency for Youth Affairs of the Kaliningrad region has been started.
To participate at the “Baltic Artek-2012” you have to register on the website fill in the application form, pass the competitive selection and pay the organization fee. Participate in the forum can only the project groups (2-6 members). The age of the participants: 16-30 years.
The application form contains the field with the general information about the applicant and the field with the short project description (name, actuality, realization time). The main selection criteria: age conformity (16-30 years), maximal detailed application form, actuality and reality of the project idea, participation motivation.
The deadline for the application is 25th of April 2012.
We invite to the “Baltic Artek-2012”:leaders of youth public associations and groups (NGOs), members of school and student self-administration (councils, etc), members of youth parliaments and governments, volunteers, young journalists, politicians, young disabled, working youth, intellectual, creative and sportive young people and participants from all countries around the world.
Tatyana Vasilyeva: “Thank the support of Nikolay Tsukanov the preparation and realization of the “Baltic Artek” are included in the grant program of the Kaliningrad region “Youth” for the years 2012-2016. The camp will welcome the participants each summer. Our “Baltic Artek” becomes such event in the life of each participant wanted to remember, speak and dream about. The great emotions, new impressions and discoveries, nice and sincere people – this all will remain in the hearts of all the people. Our organizers aim is to organize the conditions and maximal opportunities for the additional education, self-realization, and young people self-determination, start point for new ideas, projects and initiatives.
The program of the “Baltic Artek-2012” consists of four thematic sessions:
First session (16-23 of July): “Youth of the Future”
Duration: 8 days
Language: Russian
Main ideas: support and promotion of public associations, voluntary work, determining of new leaders and activists, modeling of civil society, project management.
Second session (26-29 of July): “Professionals of the Future”
Duration: 4 days
Language: Russian
Main ideas: organization of professional communities, corporative culture and internal communications, support of innovation thinking, improve of personal and professional efficiency, personal and carrier growth plan elaborating. business connections extension, project management.
Third session (1-5 of August): “Future of Baltic”
Language: English
Main ideas: organization and promotion of the international and intercultural dialog, social, economical and humanitarian cooperation, foreign languages practice, project management.
Fourth session (8-14 of August): “The youth culture of the Future”
Duration: 7 days
Language: Russian
Main ideas: organization of the integrated culture community, promotion of youth subcultures, creative thinking and creative potential, project work in the creative industry.
The participants number of each session is 500.
The director of the “Baltic Artek-2012”, Vsevolod Tormasov, took part in the program elaboration for the “Baltic Artek-2011” last year.
Vsevolod Tormasov: “The “Baltic Artek” is one of the main important events of the Kaliningrad region. This is a number of exquisite emotions and a “small full life”: dating, friendships, active education and creative work, sea, sun, team, romantic, competitions, creative ideas. The “Baltic Artek” is an unique platform giving the start for young people projects and initiatives in most priority social and economical spheres of the region. The innovations borne on the forum will change and improve the world. The international youth forum is the important part of the regional portfolio.
Vsevolod told before, the participants will come to the camp on the project group building and project elaborating stage, the applicants will be provided with the methodological help: consultations, master classes and trainings.
The forum director specified, the “Baltic Artek” have not to be the 30 days high point, but the 365 days high point and 30 days highest point.
Background
The “Baltic Artek” started at first in form of five 7 days long thematic sessions in the summer 2010, from 19th of July to 18th of August. The “Baltic Artek” visited 2000 young people in age from 14 to 30 years from 12 countries. The second time the “Baltic Artek” was organized in the summer 2011 from 17th of July to 19th of August having the status of the international youth forum by the support of the Committee for Youth Affairs of State Duma of the Russian Federation and the Russian national fund “National perspectives”. 1500 young people in age from 16 to 30 years from 39 Russian regions and 8 countries took part in the forum.
The “Baltic Artek” gives to the participants an unique opportunity to get new knowledge and skills, make new important dating, find new friends, change experience, fulfill the potential, make a statement, elaborate a social or business project and get a grant for its realization, find employers, partners and investors.
In the year 2011 the national fund “National perspectives” supported 24 projects of the “Baltic Artek” in amount of 1 million rubles.
The projects are running and active realized at the moment.
The forum program is very rich and informative. The program consists of different sections. The main section “Education” includes lectures, trainings, master classes and workshops, panel discussions, roundtables discussion with regional, federal and foreign experts, business man, authorities representatives (ministers and deputies), business plays. In the evening the participants have time for relax. At this time they can achieve their potential playing sport games (volleyball, table tennis, football, badminton, cycling), intellectual games (“What? Where? When?”, “Brainring”, “Russian civilization” etc.), strike ball, scout rally, archery, tourist obstacle zone, leather baubles, debates, cinema club and other activities. Each participant of the “Baltic Artek” took part in the creation of the main street of the forum – the project “The Baltic Broadway”. Many participants took part in the show “Get talented!” and in other performances and actions of the camp. The “Baltic Artek means also sea, traditional evening camp fires with songs and guitar plays.
The “Baltic Artek” is locatedin the lovely beautiful place next to the small towns Filino and Primorye, Filinskaya bay. The distance from the forum territory to Kaliningrad is 40 km, to Svetlogorsk – 10 km. The “Baltic Artek” is organized as the international forum in form of the camp with high level infrastructure convenient for comfortable living: six-person tents, event pavilions, stage for common events, electricity and water supply, wi-fi, shower and WCs, 3 times a day hot meal.
