Thedata (netcdf format) are calculated using the P-vector inverse method.
Please note that
(1) To read the netcdf data files, you need to install matlab netcdf tools from the websites:
(2) You can use ncbrowser to view and to get the netcdf data
> ncbrowser ****.nc nowrite
(3) We provide a MATLAB function (getFANnc.m) for easily accessing the netcdf data.

B. Data Information
(1) global_heat_storge.nc (data file) to a givendepth calculated
using the GDEM (T, S) data(1/2 degree resolution)
(2) global_velocity_zlevel_94.nc (data file) calculated
using the WOA 94 data (1 degree resolution)
(3) annual_isopycnal.nc (data file)
containing climatological annual
mean global absolute velocity in the isopycnal coordinate, (T, S) in
isopycnal coordinate, volume transport streamfunction,
volume transport vorticity, and depth of the isopycnal surface
calculated using the GDEM (T, S) data(1/2 degree resolution)
(4) january_isopycnal.nc (data file), april_isopycnal.nc (data file), july_isopycnal.nc (data file),
october_isopycnal.nc (data file)
containing climatological monthly mean global absolute velocity in theisopycnal coordinate,
(T, S) in isopycnal coordinate, volume transport streamfunction, volume transport vorticity,
and depth of the isopycnal surface calculated using the GDEM (T, S) data(1/2 degree
resolution)
