Decker Prairie Elementary School
Robotics 2017-2018
Decker Prairie Elementary School is offering robotics to our students. We expect to have more applications than space available. Student applications, teacher references, good grades, good conduct marks and good school attendance are all part of the selection process.
We are participating in the First Lego League this year and plan to have three teams: 4th grade - 6 team members, 3rd grade - 6 team members and a 1st & 2nd grade team - 6 team members. Mr. and Mrs. French are the main coaches. Students will build and program Lego robots to meet the challenges. We expect to participate in at least one tournament and/or showcase for each team during the season.
The 3rd and 4th grade team will meet after school on Tuesdays until 5:30 pm. The 1st and 2nd grade team will meet on Wednesday mornings from 7:45-8:35 in Mrs. French’s room.
Student applications must be turned in by Thursday, September 14, 2017. No late applications will be accepted. Contact Mrs. French at: for questions. Start date of our meetings TBA.
Download an application from Mrs. French’s Edlio website or pick up an application from the main office or ask Mrs. French for one.
Remember, your application will be our only information about you so let your best show through in what you write! Be neat! You may get your parent to help you with the application but the writing must be yours.

Application for Decker Prairie Robotics
Students: Your parents may help you with this application but the writing needs to be yours. You may add additional pages or other documentation to help us learn more about you. You can attach your answers on a separate sheet of paper if you would like. Part of the selection process will include grades, conduct marks and school attendance. All students must use this application, even if they were on a team last year. We want to see how much you have grown and learned!!
