Dear Parent/Guardian and Student: The uniform policy of Carnahan High School of the Future is designed to eliminate distractions to the learning process and any potential hazards to safety. Please read, understand, and adhere to this policy.
TOP (Shirt, Blouse)

BOTTOM (Pants, Skirts, Shorts)

If students are unable to follow the uniform guidelines adopted by Carnahan High School of the Future the following consequences will apply:
1st offense: Verbal
2nd offense: Written Warning
3rd offense: Phone Call Home
4th offense: Loss of Privilege (including but not limited to; dress down days, lunch detention, etc)
5th offense: Parental Appearance Notice (PAN)

ADDITIONAL GUIDELINES:
- (1) Students may wear a combination of school colors only in their clothing.
- Athletes and students participating in extracurricular contests can wear their uniform top on special event days approved by administration. Students are still expected to meet uniform requirements for their pants. Their coach or sponsor will provide direction as approved by administration as to their dress expectations.
- ‘Dress down’ days will be hosted occasionally. There may be a small cost associated or they may be free. They will be used as an incentive for meeting school wide goals around attendance/academics or as a school fundraiser as need arises.
2.‘Dress for your future’ days will be hosted occasionally to highlight professional dress expectations. These will always be free of charge to students in an effort to promote a professional culture.(2) Hooded shirts, if worn to school, must be placed in the locker in the morning and retrieved at dismissal. Tucking hoods in does not constitute compliance with uniform policy.
(3)No large book bags, gym bags, purses, or tote bags are allowed in classrooms or in the halls. If
- brought to school, all large bags must be placed in the locker for the day.
AGREEMENT:
By enrolling my child at Carnahan, I agree to the uniform policy of Carnahan High School. Further, I know that any infraction of this policy and guidelines can result in:
(1)a call to parents to bring appropriate clothing to school,
(2)a requirement to change into clothing furnished by the school, if available,,
(3)revocation of privileges to participate in field trips, special events, and activities
(4)revocation of privileges to participate in extracurricular activities.
(6)out-of-school suspension, depending on number of offenses and circumstances.
