REPORTING TO:Senior Planning Policy and Delivery Officer
PURPOSE:
To deliver the aims and objectives of Tamworth Borough Council and the Planning and Regeneration Service Business Plan.
To contribute to the production, monitoring and implementation of the Local Plan and supplementary documents for Tamworth.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1To assist in the delivery of the Local Development Scheme through setting out a work programme of planning documents to achieve specific key milestones.
2To assist the continuous development of a sound evidence base to inform the preparation and monitoring of Development Plan Documents and the Community Infrastructure Levy.
3To assist the production of development plan documents, supplementary documents, masterplans, planning briefs or other related planning policy documents.
4To ensure the statutory requirements relating to planning policy and the Community Infrastructure Levy are adhered to.
5To provide professional advice as necessary to Members, the public and other Council Services on the Development Plan and Community Infrastructure Levy including the provision of advice on planning applications and pre-application enquiries, on development proposals and the development of projects and business cases.
6To undertake surveys, research, monitoring and analysis of development activity, local planning and corporate issues as required.
7Work with others to produce, implement and monitor the Community Infrastructure Levy.
8To assist with work relating to conservation, environmental enhancement, infrastructure delivery and related matters including the implementation of s106 and CIL monies.
9To assist the production, maintenance and review comprehensive, integrated project plans and other project documentation to enable the projects to be managed against a clear set of defined deliverables and milestones
10Plan, prepare and conduct meetings, workshops and presentations for a wide variety of audiences.
11Develop and maintain networks with the development industry to gather intelligence on the current market and to promote development opportunities.
12Deputise for the Senior Planning Policy and Delivery Officer as appropriate.
13To undertake all corporate requirements on health and safety, diversity and equality, safeguarding, data protection, risk management and financial regulations.
14To undertake any other reasonable duties commensurate with the grade and general nature of the post.
